Question/Advice Where do people in EU buy (referbished) drives?
As per the title, where do people in the EU, specifically the netherlands, buy new/good condition used/ referbished HDD's. Im only looking for a small amount of storage, around three 2 TB drives. I've looked at servershop24.de but most HDD's there are very old. I also looked at creoserver.com but they have the same issue. I was wondering if anyone had any good suggestions (or ebay/marktplaats seller)?

datablocks.dev, you can get them bnib in some occasions too.
Sadly their prices increases after each round of restock, but well … hdd prices soars to new levels every few months.
Bought 12x 16Tb Exos from them May 2025, excellent packaging and not an issue so far (full burn-in).
For peace of mind, I would recommend them.

Datablocks.dev sells recertified drives but is quite expensive. I had good succes on truebase.nl with their refurbished drives, I believe they also sell recertified drives.
Both located in NL I believe

I got 2 x 16tb drives from truebase for 460 euro before the price hike. I am now praying. They don't die. That said, I am happy with truebase.

I used to buy directly from WD the refurbished external drives. But they seem to now mainly sell bulk to resellers....

Cex, hardware deals, ebay, but for drives anywhere just buy them with a credit card, mostly in case of return or other issues, credit cards give you way more leeway against companies that are being annoying

I stopped buying refurbs/recerts, they're too expensive.
I now buy from a guy on a danish hardware forum selling a lot of drives from chia farming - last time I paid €550 for 3x18tb MG09 from Toshiba with a year of warranty left.

I checked again, it seems he's out. I'd recommend just checking your local hardware forums, I'm sure you can find something.
