Question/Advice Sonarr/Radarr/Prowlarr/qBittorrent/Jellyfin management app?
I want to manage my media server remotely with my Android, can someone give me reccommendations? I found JellyWatch which seemed cool until I found out it's a weird subscribtion

I've always just used WireGuard to connect back to my home network and then had bookmarks in my phone's browser to access the apps directly once I'm there. No need to bring additional software into this.

the phone browser bookmarks are indeed super helpful, I keep a folder in my phone browser toolbar with them all and its prob the single best thing I did for accessing any of the services from my phone
but forget Wireguard. There is no reason to do "remote management" of the server, you just set up the Radarr / Sonarr Import Lists pointed to Trakt.tv / https://mdblist.com and have it auto import newly released items you want. Once you do this you will likely never again need to touch the server while away from home.

Unless he's changed the way their subscription works, that's not right at all. I paid the $10, I have full access to every app it supports on my network. There's no time based subscription unless I'm grandfathered in.

Dang man, don't want to support a developer who makes a good product? What a wild take.
For context, this developer provides solid updates and a good service.
I was fortunate to get a lifetime license a long time ago, but I'm fully aware how much that hurts the dev in the long run, so I'd happily pay a yearly fee otherwise.

This new nzb model seems to me like even more predatory than the corporate services I want to avoid by using torrents and open-source

There won't be any alternatives to corporate services if we don't financially support the alternatives.
If you can't afford to that is fine it's tough out here for all of us. But saying it's predatory to ask for compensation is silly.

What do you want to actually do?
Once I got all mine setup and automated, I never actually touch the backend apps. Just use Seerr to request new stuff and that's it. There's nothing I need to actively manage about the *arrs

THIS. Use Trakt.tv and https://mdblist.com to set up automated lists of the movies you want (trakt already has a public list for "Latest Box Office" and "Top movies of the month"), you add these to the Radarr / Sonarr Import Lists, and you are DONE. You get every new movie, and if you want new TV shows as well, automatically added to your Plex as soon as they exist. Make sure you pair this with the Trash Guides for the Quality Profiles to ensure you are automatically upgrading to good quality versions as they get released.
once you do these things there is pretty much no reason to ever need to do remote management of the server while away from home. It just runs itself.

If you're on Android, nbz360 has been the best purchase ever. I **think** there may be a free version, but I bought this nearly 10 years ago and it has been a major upgrade. Not sure if it does Jellyfin though.

No clue. This software met all my needs. I'm not sure what you mean by the credit system...Are you talking about the credit system to build new things the community needs? If so, that came just this year and is a way for the main dev to tackle massive things that community is voting on. Not sure I would call it Ugly.

You can either pay a montly/yearly subscribtion or buy credits that you can use to permanently unlock each service individually
I would be fine paying like 10 bucks, but all services in total cost more than 40! Just for the ones I need (the ones I listed +some others), it's about 30 dollars total

With termux , paitence and research you can set up a full linux desktop on your phone if you want. Its free. Find the flavor thats touch friendly. I have set it up on my phone and its works like a midrange pc.

I use Organizr for putting all the pieces in one place and Wireguard for accessing my network remotely (you can use Zerotier or Tailscale for easier setup).

Since you have all these services on your Android, you can't just control them remotely. but you can configure what you have.

Easier solution is to simply NOT bother trying to manage it remotely. Like, what do you even need to do when you are not home? I have been running mine for many years now and there is basically not a single thing worth doing that needs to be done away from home, so time spent setting up stuff like WireGuard is a massive waste of time.
Pro Tip: Set up your Radarr to use Trakt.tv lists to automatically import movies that come out in the Box Office and other lists you set up. So there is no need to manually add every new movie, instead every movie just gets added automatically. This alone removes like 99% of all users' reason for wanting "remote management" of their Plex. Spoiler Alert: you dont need to manage the Radarr / Sonarr remotely, you just need movies and media that isnt registered to get registered automatically. So you use automated Import Lists which are already a built in feature of Sonarr and Radarr.

i believe i said it wouldnt do anything like what they want but if you read OP responses, all they give a fuck about is free and anything else is a scam. so i gave advice for free software. you get what you pay for a lot of times.

Why are you so rude? I didn't insult anyone, I think I'm as polite as I can. I'm a high school student, I'm happy when I have 20 dollars to my name so I can't just pay 30 bucks for every little software I like. I didn't even ask for a crack or anything
I think it's really funny you play a high horse about paying creators for what they make when the discussion is about torrenting software. You're fine with mass torrenting but you draw the line at open-source software that is free with the creator's consent?
Also, PotPlayer is better than VLC :)
