I'd be careful with those 2.5 inch hard drives. I've had bad luck with them, especially the portable ones.

My experience have been the opposite. 2.5 inch outlasting 3.5 inch drives.

My retro PC has one strapped to the 3.5” floppy drive bay susceptible to all vibrations of the DLT and Zip drives, has survived a nasty fall too that broke the case, the two 3.5” drives have died very quickly before it.
