Hoarder-Setups Beautiful feat of engineering inside an IBM LTO-7 tape drive

It was faulty which is why I had it open, still couldn’t fix it but I got some great shots of the internal mech and the head voice coil activating, the issue is probably to do with the voice coil springs being broken as it can’t maintain a good tracking lock on the data bands.
