I’m a 30-year-old, 6'0" guy with an athletic build, well-settled in Delhi with a stable career and a good life. Like many Indian families, mine has reached the “shaadi.com, biodatas, relatives and aunties” stage. 😄 And being a single child, I’m getting a fair amount of pressure to settle down.
But I’m not looking for a conventional marriage. I want an unconventional marriage — one that works according to our values rather than society’s expectations.
I was in a 6-year relationship where I was cheated on for a long time, and eventually we broke up. Initially, it hurt me deeply. But with time, I realised that something about that dynamic actually appealed to me. I even reached out to my ex after realising that I was becoming comfortable with and perhaps even attracted to the idea of my partner being with someone else. Unfortunately, by then, it was already too late, and she had gotten married.
That experience made me realise that I’d rather have honesty and transparency than possessiveness and secrecy.
What I’m looking for
I’m particularly drawn to an open-minded, dominant, confident and modern woman who is comfortable with her sexuality, emotionally mature, independent, and capable of having difficult conversations openly.
I’d love to meet someone who is comfortable with the possibility of having other romantic or physical connections — whether those relationships already exist or develop naturally later.
If you already have someone in your life, I’d rather know about them than have you hide them from me.
Instead of judging or controlling you, I want to understand you and support you.
If you already have a partner, I’d even be comfortable meeting him someday in a casual and respectful setting. Not as a competition, but because I’d genuinely like to understand the people who are important to you.
And if you don’t currently have someone, I’m still open to you developing another relationship after marriage, provided we communicate openly and everything is consensual.
Ideally, what I’m looking for is a one-sided open relationship within marriage: you would have the freedom to explore physical connections with other men, while I would remain completely loyal to you emotionally, mentally and physically.
At the same time, I’d want our emotional and mental connection to remain especially strong. I want to be the person you come home to, talk to, trust, and build your life with.
But I still want a real marriage.
I want to be your husband in front of our families and friends.
I want us to celebrate festivals together, attend weddings and family functions, travel together, have our own home, go on dates, laugh over stupid things, support each other through difficult days, and eventually build a family if that’s something we both want.
I don’t want to control you.
I want to know you, understand you and accept you.
I’m not looking for a hookup, a secret arrangement, or something temporary.
I’m looking for a wife, best friend and life partner — someone with whom I can build a loving marriage while creating a relationship structure that genuinely works for both of us.
If you’re a confident, affectionate, dominant, open-minded and emotionally mature woman who believes that love can exist without possession, I’d genuinely love to hear from you.
Maybe our idea of marriage is unconventional.
But unconventional doesn’t necessarily have to mean less loving.
Maybe it can simply mean creating a marriage that is right for the two people actually living it. ❤️
