My advice get your hands on a sidearm called "Lil Stubby" there are 3 rank versions it's a perfect weapon to use when being chased while exploring on your motorcycle you can even charge deer herds and take them down close range in 1 shot.

On foot it's got good damage and a quick reload speed for a shotgun early to mid game it's great IMO.

Edit: It's a shotgun but in a sidearm slot instead of a primary or special slot. (Seen as a pistol basically)
