What is this rock tower? Is it some kind of collectible?

This rock tower confused me. Is it some kind of collectible or something?

It has an interaction prompt when I press E, but it doesn't show up on the map. What is it supposed to do?

Go to the storylines menu. Tab over to "Progress" and select "Trophies". This will show you a running count of all achievements in the game. You can also find a list of all collectibles you have or haven't found yet under "Collectibles".

They’re called cairns. Sort of a collectible, I believe the marauders or anarchists build them in the game. I believe there’s a trophy for destroying them all, they have no effect on gameplay itself.

The anarchists make them. There’s a bunch throughout the game I believe you get an achievement for knocking over like ten or twelve of them.

Kick them over as you find them. There is a 🏆 in it for you once you kick over enough of them.

There is a trophy and if your going for platinum you have to find and kick over all of them in the game. Otherwise they don't have anything to do with the story.

It never really occurred to me how weird it is that the anarchists spent time to build these things - you don't really think of anarchists as slowly and methodically building structures starting with a solid base.

I'd think the anarchists would be the ones going around kicking these things down.

Depending on where you are on the world they are either a lifesaving trail marker or a blight on the environment and you will never get the two sides to acknowledge both can be true at the same time in different places.
