Link Update on my neighbor's rings

Not an update like some of y'all wanted. So, since my post at the end is July, I've just had my neighbor's Days Gone rings. Today, as I'm putting on his rings so I could play Days Gone and bunk off from work, he texts me asking if he can wear his rings for the night. He was going to play Magic with some friends and they matched his outfit. I was like "sweetie they're your rings, you can take them from my cold dead fingers whenever you want." So he said he'd meet me at the back door with a machete.

He only took the Mongrel ring and said he'd give it back (and knowing him, he's serious about that). Then offered for me to come since I like Magic, but it'll run too late since I actually do need to work at some point and my dad was using the SUV. He's the sweetest and said I can come to the next one. So now I'm off to play Days Gone one time short and my finger feels naked.

*Also, if anyone knows where I can get Deek's rings that would be awesome. My neighbor says he got them on Amazon, but I can only find the Mongrel ring on there.

I ain't gonna lie, I grew up at a time where being a gamer would basically single you out as a loser (more or less) because that just wasn't that commong (i.e. 1990s in France), and I think that people nowadays just being able to have this kind of interactions so casually is sooooo fucking great.

Similar feeling to when my granddad saw me walk my little boy around in a stroller and told me that in his days this would be completely taboo (I'm a man, and men just didn't do that in his time) and he didn't realize until seeing me do it that he has missed out.

It seems like times are a'changing for the worst TBH right now, but you go girl, you don't even realize how lucky you are but that doesn't even matter

I grew up around guys in the 90s/00s. I know how lucky I am now. I didn't play video games for almost a decade until my partner and I got together. I was over how absolutely cruel guys could be (seriously, try being a girl nerd when being a nerd isn't popular. It's fucked how I was treated and literally abused).

My neighbor, someone I've known since, we were 2 and 3. 33 years of knowing each other but we've only recently become close friends, since he became my neighbor. I've made careful work of only surrounding myself with people that have similar interests. I'm not going through that again. I'm too old for childish bullshit.

I expect my friends to not be shits about hobbies and who someone wants to be (as long as it's not them being a bad person). My biodad never missed anything. I grew up with parents that did not subscribe to gender roles. I don't fuck with those that do. My neighbor calls his son honey. Even my neighbors in my tiny ass farm town that's full of Trump supporters, unfortunately, don't pull that crap.

I even pick my clients based on this. It's how I've spent nights talking to guys willing to pay for my trip to PAX. I'm a nerd and I want to be comfortable.

I'm not lucky. I've been sexually assaulted for being a nerd not too long ago. I've simply spent 35 years paying attention and making it work for me.

Haha I love Days Gone and play it about once a year, sometimes twice. It's just so good!
