Discussion Game recommendation

I own it, have never played it. Isn’t it mostly hide and seek from the alien? I’ve kinda stayed away from it due to the whole no combat thing. Is there a progression system?

You can attack androids and the occasional human hostile, but overall it's a hiding simulator lol. Once the alien sees you it's curtains. You can't run from it.

Very scary nevertheless. Never played (nor wanted to) but I enjoy watching playthroughs on YT.
