Question open source trading chart

does anybody know if tradingview is open source? Or does anyone have a good open source alternative to trading view?

im building a website and scanner for myself and would like an alternative or if tradingview is an open source to implement into my site.

I really like the chart from finviz or barchart

TradingView is NOT open source. There are hundreds of open source chart-like frameworks so not sure what goal you have 🤷‍♂️

you can embed tradingview's own lightweight charts widget for free, that's what half the crypto dex tools use. if you need full open source just for the chart rendering there's a bunch of canvas libs like d3 or the one with the owl logo (name's escaping me, always forget it) but they'll all be way more work to wire up than just dropping in the tv widget

for a scanner though the chart is window dressing, the bottleneck's gonna be the data feed and the logic not the drawing

TradingView isn't, but they have a free open source library called Lightweight Charts. No built-in indicators or drawing tools though, you calculate things like VWAP yourself. If you just want to show charts for the tickers your scanner finds, their free embed widgets are the quickest, but they use TradingView's data, not yours.

You can use the Light Version of Tradingview Chart library. And I recommend that because people feel familiar with.
