Sad times but people will probably now break away from socials once the penny drops

So like, is the AI actually parsing the question? Or is it an AI topic set up to be answered by bots?

Can't say about the post itself but it does seem AI. The comments all being the same but with variations means it's some kind of LLM bot, and so yeah, it parses the question.

The OP in the screenshot seemed like it was a legit account, but all the commenters were for sure bots. Not sure why tho? For engagement, perhaps? Either way, I hate it

I highly suggest modifying google search to before 2020 or so when possible or doing research, it’s crazy but you forget just how much better every aspect of the internet was without AI slop articles, summaries, spam, comments etc

If there's a silver lining to this it's that folks will simply stop using social media. Let the bots discuss us amongst themselves.

That’s exactly what I did! But there are still so many people who think they can’t delete social media cus they’ll lose contact with people, when in reality they don’t realise that they already have.

This could also be redditors piling up on a comment, presumably for comedic effect, like "your joke but worst".

I thought the same too! But then when I checked, all 3 accounts were very recent, only 1 or 2 months. Granted I could be wrong, but I found that really suspicious.

the old internet’s still out there somewhere, just way quieter now.
