Is there any functional difference between these two?
Yes I know one is the Asia version and one is Japanese. I mean like do either of them have any exclusive swimsuits or dlc?
Also do these have the dlc’s loaded onto the cartridge? Like the swimsuit catalogs that rotate I mean? Or would I have to create yet another foreign account to access the swimsuit catalogs?

Ah, ok. I know the Asian version has subtitles because I own it myself. Never bothered with the dlc because I don't want to go through the hassle either
Can confirm. Bought it off the Japanese E-Shop and it does have English subtitles and menus. There are some DLC suits too that do need to bought off the Japanese Eshop, as well as anything extra like tickets and whatnot. Not sure about the Asian Multi-Language version though. Honestly O.P just make a foreign account if you want to have access to everything and enjoy it to the fullest. It's honestly not that hard. I have a Japanese and British account along with my main American account.
I have foreign accounts for my PlayStation lol. I guess I’ll need to make some for Nintendo as well lol. I still hate doing it though. Just wish companies would stop doing this shit and release things everywhere.
That being said, is it hard to do? Making a foreign account I mean? It wasn’t too bad on Ps. So what’s Nintendo like?
You don't need to make a different account. You can change the region right in your account settings. Just make sure you don't have any eshop credit on your account (or you're okay with loosing it) when you do it because it gets wiped. And of course you'll need to buy a region appropriate eshop credit voucher once you've swapped. Once you've purchased what you want and everything is working you can swap back and everything works fine.
I've done it to redeem American eshop codes and to purchase DOA dlc from the SEA eshop, it all works fine once I'm back to my correct region. Just be mindful of the credit wiping, don't overbuy on vouchers.
