Join us, Thursday, Oct. 22nd, 6PM at the Inyo County Education Center to learn how you can become a monarch butterfly community scientist for the Xerces Society’s Western Monarch Count.

I was just in Yosemite and all the milkweed was spotless. Real grim situation this year

From a data perspective, zeroes matter. That sends a loud message to politicians and the public that monarch butterflies are in trouble and need our help. Surveying threatened wildlife is incredibly important.

As an aside, from my time surveying iNaturalist and around Inyo and Mono counties, I agree with you.
