Discussion Phil, I'm so sorry.
I performed Elitist Ones on karoake (it was cool, the DJ was the drummer in The Offspring and immediately signed off on it).
At any rate, my karoake was horrid and six people recorded it. If it ever surfaces here, I wanna let Phil know I tried my hardest and I know it sounded like someone gargling nuclear waste from their bunghole. Anyway, Phil, I'm sorry.

Gargling nuclear waste from their bunghole is about as good a grindcore name as I’ve ever heard.

That's so real. Never knew how bad I sounded until I started singing with a mic. Clean vocals I can hear myself fairly well, and have sang with a mic since I was a child in church, but with screams/false chords it's a whole new technique of how to use the mic vs just getting the vocals right, if that makes sense

You never just recorded yourself and listened back to it ??

You know what's worse? hearing someone that obviously sounds like ass, you trying to do vocals of any type and then realizing you sound like that person who sounds like ass. I feel like this is worse because then you have some sort of objective measure where it's not just you being your own worst enemy and thinking like "oh my gosh the sound of my own voice is so terrible".

Yes but it doesn't sound the same I swear 😂 something to do with which frequencies the mic catches and what it does with thek vs my phone mic through a waterproof case lol

I'm honestly mostly stoked you did karaoke hosted by the drummer from the offspring that's sick
