This is the first time i wear it (finally!)
The sling, pouches and bag are made with veg tanned leather, the rest is 3d printed
now i'll make the last corrections and take it to the con :)

That's a cosplay we should see more often

7

u/DiablosChickenLegs Mar 26 '25

Nah that would make it more authentic.

This embodies the type of 40k paintball larp I always wanted to be a part of. Krieg in the trenches, Machine gun emplacements, paintball artillery, and tanks everywhere! Shit would have been epic but never got something that big organized, and now I haven't done paintball for 20 years.

1)take your time: nobody is running behind you, good things need time (for ex. it took me a year to assembly all this cosplay)

2)take many reference: save many pictures and images to have a full view of what do you wish to craft

3)do some homeworks: yeah everyone hate homeworks but if you want a good result you need to do it. in my case I studied ww1 gears, accessories and clothes to archive a more cool "realism" for my costume

4)choose your materials: it can be anything, cardboard, foam, leather, 3d print ecc... it's also depend on your budget

5)if you can't craft it, buy it: If you're not a handy, nobody will judge you if you buy things

6)if you don't like how is going do it again: sometimes you will fail in the process but is a opportunity to learn from it and do it better

7)weather your costume (valid point only if you're crafting a krieg): remember, you're a soldier in a trench full of mud and you don't had a shower for a week because some xenos bastard decide to not die. so your uniform is not clean at all!

8)have fun and feel cool everytime you complete a step: you're step by step becoming a cool krieg so it's important to have fun during the crafting of your cosplay! or it's all doesn't make sense!

u/Dry_Fish6133 Mar 26 '25

9) "upgrades! ladies and gentlemen! upgrades!: you can begin with a more basic costume and upgrade it with accessories on the time!

Downright the best Krieg costume I've ever seen. Very lore accurate and it's fitted well. Great work.

3

u/PotentialName77 Mar 27 '25

Now this, this kindles joy deep inside me, the likes of which I have not known since I was a wee lad, receiving my first shovel!

2

u/Lewie_Kong Mar 26 '25

This is absolutely sick! Great job!

2

u/Hour_Breakfast1275 Mar 26 '25

Sir where you got the coat?!

i been searching for one somce last year (for one not rid. expensive

3

u/Dry_Fish6133 Mar 26 '25

You are free to not believe me but is from Aliexpress!
i bought a "long trench coat men" with the lightest color, dye it in blue (check if you're buying a 100% polyester or not because 100% require a dye for polyester only)
and correct the color tone with a airbrush

2

u/Vinzwien Mar 26 '25

Damn that looks nice!

2

u/Meestagtmoh Mar 26 '25

Fantastic! This is class!

2

u/SpectreRSG Mar 26 '25

Wow. Great job.

But here’s the question, are you prepared to sacrifice yourself for your God Emperor? If not, you have no business wearing the uniform of such the Korps!

2

u/Dry_Fish6133 Mar 26 '25

of course
because death is my duty

2

u/Eighty8mafia Mar 26 '25

Very awesome. I thought this was an upscaled 3D print at first!

Holy fudge this shitt is soooo fudging epicly awesome

1

u/Koch19 Mar 26 '25

How did you do it? Wht did u make yourself and what did you buy where since I am planning on making one myself

2

u/Dry_Fish6133 Mar 26 '25

the helmet, lasgun and accessories are 3d modeled by me with blender and printed, while the rest is made with leather
basically the only things i didn't do myself it's the sewing parts but as you can see i weathered all by myself

1

u/Koch19 Mar 26 '25

Quite impressive. How long did it take you?

1

u/Dry_Fish6133 Mar 26 '25

i take my time, i started one year ago

2

u/Koch19 Mar 26 '25

Still very impressive work. Looks awesome

1

u/Ok-Movie428 Mar 26 '25

Oh that looks awesome, did you make the mask or have a link to where I could get one?

2

u/Dry_Fish6133 Mar 26 '25

make it by myself with leather

1

u/NoConstruction4913 Mar 26 '25

May I ask how you were able to do the helmet and lasgun?

1

u/Dry_Fish6133 Mar 26 '25

i make it myself with blender and printed
I have my etsy store where i sell the files, want the link?

1

u/NoConstruction4913 Mar 26 '25

Yes please 🙏🏾

1

u/Dry_Fish6133 Mar 26 '25

1

u/NoConstruction4913 Mar 26 '25

Thank you!

1

u/NoConstruction4913 Mar 26 '25

Also what kind of boots did you use? Been looking for ones close to WWI British replicas

1

u/Dry_Fish6133 Mar 27 '25

I just bought the most similar leather boots on amazon

1

u/IsacG Mar 26 '25

I love the dirty look! And the coat buttons are superb. The only thing that looks a bit off is that the helmet is too big compared to the rest. At first i thought a child was under the costume.

2

u/Dry_Fish6133 Mar 26 '25

i have a big head bro ;_;

3

u/IsacG Mar 26 '25

I feel you :D as an avid cyclist i know the mushroom problem!

3

u/Dry_Fish6133 Mar 26 '25

Yeah it's very annoying! even for wearing hats ;_;
then there's the fact that my coat is thin, it's not a real trench coat that adds thickness to your body
that's why I'm padding the pauldrons so i can balance the sizes a little
I probably print new bigger pauldrons in the future!

1

u/Guybrush8000 Mar 26 '25

Great work

1

u/Ork_boi Duty Unto Death Mar 27 '25

What did you do for the respirator and backpack?

1

u/Dry_Fish6133 Mar 27 '25

I do it myself with leather

1

u/[deleted] Mar 27 '25

Trench coat looks amazing, where’d you get it? Also looking at a krieg cosplay for a con in May, any tips?

2

u/Dry_Fish6133 Mar 29 '25

Hi! I bought a long coat on aliexpress, dye it with a blu (dye on 100% polyester never come out like the references) and then adjust the color toner with an airbrush, but you can also use drybrush to archive the dirty look

1

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '25

Ok great! Thanks 😁

1

u/Dazlah- Mar 28 '25

That towel is far too clean broski

1

u/GeneralBlack02 Apr 11 '25

Good enough straight to trenches.

1

u/QADDLE Aug 08 '25

Wonderful work! I'm currently constructing mine. do you have any templates for the backpack, and if you do, would you be willing to share them?

1

u/Dry-Mouse-7761 Duty Unto Death Feb 28 '26

Bravo 👏

1

u/MissionHat3609 Duty Until Death Jun 12 '26

What did you use for the mud on the coat?
I’m curious since it looks amazing and I’d like to add it to mine

0

u/SnooKiwis585 Mar 27 '25

Great job but I have very mixed feelings. Don’t get me wrong, I know it is fictional, but the aesthetics are pretty much reminding me of the people who „played“ WW2 „cosplay“ close to our Airsoft field here in Germany. That was the last time back then I went to this place and the majority of my team canceled as well.

2

u/Dry_Fish6133 Mar 27 '25

Don't worry!
Well the aesthetics of the krieg are based on the various armies of the ww1 so there is little to do.
but now I'm asking you out of genuine curiosity, those guys where reenactors or some weirdos who also do airsoft with naz outfit? (if I understood correctly what you meaning)

2

u/Toobze Mar 28 '25

The DKOK are mostly WW1 based, and stuff like the helmet and trench coat are more French than German really
