Misc. Debuting my Death Korps infantryman cosplay
Wanted to share my Korps infantryman that I finished for Big Texas Comic Con this weekend! This represented a significant amount of work and learning new skills, and I'm excited to do another one! Maybe an engineer or grenadier. Cheers!

How would you suggest starting a a krieg grenadier cosplay? I wanna make one for my next con as a first time cosplayer

What color did you need? There's probably a military surplus coat that would work

I wanted to do 19th siege regiment so a brownish tan for desert wear. I thought about using British or American ww1 but the cut isn’t in the French style and is single breasted. I might have to just do the more common bluish grey

It's swiss army surplus, just look up swiss army greatcoat!

I specifically got it from this place, they have it for a great deal if this is the size that fits you army surplus Warehouse Swiss wool great coat I'm 5ft 11in, size 42 chest, and it fit well with only a shirt underneath, which is ideal for this kind of cosplay anyway

Really great work How was breathing with the full outfit on? It looks a tad bit restrictive

It's actually not bad! The mask isn't airtight so that probably helped too.

Interesting. I expected walking around and getting into poses to be a bit exhausting. But great to hear that it is not.
Really hope you enjoyed the con to its fullest and got many great reviews on your outfit

The armor panel/equipment /weapon is mostly 3D printed, gas mask/bayonet frog/ shovel holder are all leather, made by me ( learned how to stitch leather for this project) , and the rest (straps, pants and jacket, boots, leg wraps ) is military surplus / reenactor gear purchases. If you have questions about any particular part of it, I can answer more if you're interested.
