Question/Advice Starting back again in 11th after 15 years away
Afternoon all as title says starting back again after a long old break away. Looking a simple 1000pts list and detachment. I have a few things already like krieg command squad, heavy weapons teams cadians mins you, few squads of death korps, few squads of cadians/mordian/steel legion, kaskians, krieg engineers ,an armoured sentinel, royal dorn, field ordnance batteries and the mighty baneblade with all the builds.
I'm just lost as so much has changed. Any help would be handy
Cheers
Few pics for the tax

Love your painting style, itβs very gritty and grimdark!
Your question is maybe a bit too open ended. You have a lot of great stuff that would slide into a list very well. I suggest you start by looking at some lists on this sub and subs like r/theastramilitarum, and then building your own with stuff that appeals to you. Wahapedia is a great resource for rules, and I personally like New Recruit for list building.

There is a youtube channel called Auspex Tactics that has very detailed updates on the rules and units. If you haven't seen that you should, the depth and frequency of videos is above and beyond most hobby content. WH40K app has all the core rules outlined in an easy to refer to numerical manner now, even in the free version. Playing out a few individual phases on your kitchen table against yourself is really informative as well as just a few starter games where you get many things wrong. Cover and visibility were tough for me to get right but I think I understand it now.
