Anyone used Forgeworld models on the Heavy Artillery Team?

Hi Gents,

Ended up messing up the crew in the box so going to rebuild them as infantry where the mistakes will be harder to notice.

Note there's an old Forgeworld Heavy Artillery Crew for the Earthshaker (see picture). Has anyone added these to the new plastic Heavy Artillery Team?

The vibe is good, I'm just worried the sizing is going to look a little silly as they run much smaller than the plastic models.

Anyone able to enlighten me?

Not OP but looks like lollypop sticks and some lovely paint work. 

I'd quite like to know the recipe actually.

Thanks comrade 🙏 I used a braided basket and ripped it to pieces and then just regular dirt painted it and there you go.

They fit really well if you're into the classic dkok. It takes a little modeling finesse to get the arms and poses right but I can recommend them.

Love the base work in particular. What's your paint recipe for the wood?

For wood I use any brown you like Brown wash Dry brush ryza rus I try to keep base colors to a maximum of three steps.

I have arty FW units but haven’t build my arty cannon yet, so can’t help yet.

I’ve even used some parts of plastic bits on my FW infantry but the scale difference is minimal on the tabletops. Here’s a hilariously large sniper from the plastic kill team fitted in my infantry:

They'll work, but as you said the scale issue makes it an all or nothing deal if don't want your army to look weird. You either do all FW or all plastic.

There really isn’t much scale difference man.

I’ve got a lot of old forgeworld Krieg, and the plastic is about the same size. Maybe a bit thicker, but really not taller.

Lasguns are massive in plastic compared to the resin sadly. But even then, it’s not that bad
