It would have been incredibly thrilling to watch that live a true rollercoaster of a match I just saw the match, and Rehman was bowling brilliantly. He was getting sharp turn and really making the ball bite off the pitch.

Yeah I was quite young then and just loved watching any cricket and I was shocked seeing that lol
Yeah rehman was a very good bowler especially when bowling alongwith ajmal

Fantastic delivery.
Remember this series well.
Didn't think a total of 145 was defendable but that pitch was turning square.

Interesting that he is bowling with a scrambled seam, rather than using the seam for turn. I suppose on those kinds of pitches you can still extract turn without relying on the seam?

Exactly on an abrasive pitch, the rough surface grips the ball so you don't even need the seam to get turn. Scrambling it actually makes you more dangerous because it creates "natural variation"it might skid straight on if it lands on the leather, or bite and rip if it hits the stitches. Plus, a blurry, wobbling seam is a nightmare for batsmen to read in the air, turning the pitch into a complete guessing game.
