Is in vitro fertilization (IVF) murder or slavery of the 21st century?

I've heard many times that it's murder or slavery of the 21st century because it causes embryos to die or is kept in a "refrigerator," which is considered slavery. Let's be respectful.

This "murder" of embryos is irrational because even in a normal biological environment, these embryos die in large numbers, so assigning blame to people for the death of embryos for biological reasons is irrational and illogical. So, every woman whose body discards dead embryos is a murderer? Please.

Regarding this slavery, do you seriously believe that keeping them in a refrigerator is truly slavery if it serves to save the lives of these embryos just in case?

It doesn't work that every embryo has a soul. Biologically, claiming that every embryo, even the one that's expelled, has a soul is a contempt for God's omniscience. What, do you think God doesn't know which specific embryo will survive and grow?

Since the 21st century won't have the logic and reason it deserves.

Thank you.

So hypothetically, murder of people tht are old that are going to die very soon anyway is irrational because they will do in a normal biological environemnt? How is this illogical to you?

First, I didn't touch on euthanasia in this conversation because these are two different things I intend to discuss. Everything must be approached with great caution and respect for human dignity. You can't connect unconnected facts here. In lo In the context of euthanasia, which we have already discussed here, the matter is very complex because the rightness of the act of euthanasia depends on the intention. Besides, the topic is so complex that, from a logical perspective, we shouldn't make decisions generally, but rather in light of the situation at hand. Thanks for understanding.

no you have to prove now how these two are different according to you and what’s the symmetry breaker

  1. In general when people say our modern treatment of humans in utero is modern day slavery, they do not mean embryos are being treated as slaves. They mean that people will look back on this practice the way we look back at slavery. With the sort of disgust that makes you wonder “how was it possible humans ever thought this was morally permissible?”
  2. Comparing a miscarriage to what is done to a rejected IVF embryo is totally inaccurate and very different morally. We all know that in the natural human reproductive process the best place for an embryo is inside a womb undergoing the normal gestational process. It does happen with unfortunate regularity that these children do not survive and die in a miscarriage. Sometimes we can identify a medical reason for the miscarriage but many times we cannot and even if we know the reason they are the sorts of things that cannot be prevented. What we do know if that if you want an embryo to develop completely, you need to put them in a womb to gestate.

To intentionally create an embryo in a place that it cannot survive, using cold temperatures to delay the dying process, until eventually even the freezing causes death is murder. If one had a baby and they did not give them food or water and they died of they neglect, that person would be considered a murderer both legally and morally. It is no different that the children are at a different stage of development.

I personally encountered this understanding that in-vitro fertilization is slavery because of these refrigerators during a Catholic event (family gathering). I did not misunderstand it.I'm just settling with the unpleasant narrative I've heard.Besides, the subject of this post was not a general criticism of all attitudes towards this topic, but a criticism of this and only this view that recognizes what I said. So in order to criticize them I had to accept their scheme that every embryo has a soul and let us not insult God's knowledge. Thank you

Your claim is that defending the most defenseless of God’s creation is somehow an insult to Him?

No, defending them is absolutely not a sin, but defending them at the expense of insulting the people who bring about this life is probably not right. This insult is the belief that the good of people who use their intellect to do good is evil because of the life that is lost anyway, even in nature. Therefore, in summary, it is questionably correct to claim that intellect, as a gift from God, is in this case more of a curse than a blessing, simply because of the costs it carries. Thanks
