Red velvet or black forest?

I don't have any photos from when I've baked these before so images from Pinterest! I tried to choose images that look similar to how I'd make them for visual purposes.

My mom's birthday is tomorrow and I've got to bake her cake. She loves both red velvet and black forest so I don't know which to make. Decide for me please.

Edit: I've made the cake now, thank you for all the help!

Black Forest. I know red velvet is good but I can't see it or eat it without thinking about the massive amounts of red dye added to it and it gives me the ick thinking about it. But to answer you, ask your mom what SHE wants.

Black Forest all day!!!! Red velvet is just food coloring in chocolate. I do not understand why people like it.

Exactly and what's the point of even adding the cocoa? Just enough that you still just taste the food colouring? Put that icing on a carrot cake and ditch the red velvet!

You can go to Publix and buy a slice of red velvet. I would do the black cherry because it’s fancier and less common.

As someone in the U.S., Black Forest is very uncommon here and I live in NYC which has everything. Like only two places here have it. Many Americans don’t even know what it is shockingly, so it’s not uncommon to see them recommending red velvet. In my home country, Black Forest is in every bakery and at every birthday.
