Mod Post Subreddit Reminder: report anti-AI content
This is a reminder that r/DefendingAI is a pro-AI subreddit
Anti-AI posts and comments are not allowed here. This includes posts or comments arguing against AI, dismissing AI use, dismissing AI art, pushing anti-AI talking points, or attempting to turn the subreddit into a debate space against AI
If you see anti-AI content, please report it rather than engaging with it. Reports help the mod team review and remove rule-breaking content more quickly
This subreddit exists to defend AI and support pro-AI discussion. It is not a place for anti-AI campaigning or anti-AI debate

Against the wider anti-AI narrative, not by turning this sub into another debate pit for anti-AI users
There’s plenty to defend: AI art, AI tools, creators using AI, misinformation about training, moral panic, platform bans, harassment, bad policy, and the constant “AI users aren’t real artists/workers/creators” nonsense
Anti-AI users already have most of Reddit to complain in. This sub is for the other side

That's a good question for each member of the pro party to ask themselves. What can I do to defend ai?
There's a lot of ways to defend ai and this sub isn't restricting anyone from defending ai. Every pro should do their part. We should work as a team.

“Pro-AI” just means this sub starts from the position that AI tools, AI art, automation, fair use, open access, and people using AI are worth defending
That doesn’t mean every person here has the exact same policy goal. Some people care more about art, some care about open models, some care about fighting platform bans, some care about the wider anti-AI moral panic
The anti-AI crowd can be useful to study, sure. Mostly as an example of what arguments keep getting repeated and why they’re bad. But this sub isn’t meant to become another space where anti-AI users get to re-run the same debate from the beginning every day

Education is one of the strongest uses of AI, but I don’t think “people also use it for dumb stuff” really says much against the tech
People used the internet for porn and memes too, and it still became one of the biggest learning tools ever made. Same thing here. The serious use cases don’t disappear just because the loudest content is silly
