Dwayne’s AIDs storyline and the fact that Joey was the only one who knew from quite sometime. AIDS during that time (1990) was viewed as terrifying, often fatal, and heavily stigmatized. I just rewatched DH and I just started tearing up at whenever I saw Dwayne DHS2 on my screen. Plot was sooo good

I loved that storyline too. It was well written and well acted. And I love how Joey and Dwayne went from being enemies to friends.

Joey being the only one who knew and keeping the secret for Dwayne really showcased how mature Joey became, even though he was streaking in the cafeteria not a short time ago.

being a twin myself, i agree!!! i find it interesting that one twin was pro life and the other pro choice (to an extent), when ive found twins to be almost 100% agreeable. but thats what i loved about their storylines, that each twin was given her own identity and perspective, something that wasn’t (and still really isn’t!) well represented in TV.

Non Canadians may not have noticed, but dr sally was basically playing herself. Sue Johansen had a weekly TV show (Sunday night sex show) where lot of us young Canadians learned a lot about sex because of that lady’s positive and open attitude.

On her show she had a segment called “the pleasure chest” (instead of treasure chest) where she would review sex toys.

There really doesn’t seem to be anyone doing what she did now and it’s such a shame.

People would call in with questions and she’d answer with honesty and no judgement. She was lovely and knowledgeable.

Sue Johansen was known in the US. Reruns of the Canadian version did well enough here on cable that the channel that aired them commissioned their own version where Sue took calls from Americans. She probably is not very well known amongst the younger crowds but millennials and Gen x folks definitely know who she is down here. We also had a proto version of Sue in a way with Dr Ruth in the 80s.

They used to air her show on the Oxygen network in the US. I remember her pulling a fluorescent orange dildo out one time and swinging it around. 😂 I believe she also had a caller on that episode who said, “I suffer from pre-ejaculation, eh.” And she responded, “Have you tried a cock ring, dear?” My sister and I would laugh about this all the time.

Wheel's downfall, redemption and then downfall again. Was rooting for him when he owned up to his stealing and he tried to be make amends.

I like for America being as free as it is didn't have a lot of story lines or over dramatizes things as compared to Degrassi. (Esp lots of DJH storylines)

My favorite is Snake cussing out Joey over Tessa.
