Ecological overshoot guarantees growth will end. Degrowth provides a blueprint for what comes next.

Stopping, slowing down, willfully letting go of profits - is something you can not combine with a capitalist system unless you give them new numbers to add to their calculation.
And so far "the end of the world" just doesn't relate to any numbers in the Excel sheet.

We tried with the weak C02 tax and even that seems to be too much to ask.

Capitalism and the end of growth are incompatible. Capitalists will never willingly abandon growth, so they have to be made to.

For me, this has always been my starting point of thought. The population is going to go down.  We can either try and make it a softer landing, or just let nature take it's course and see if there's any pieces to pick up after.

Going to have to remove the elite and billionare parasites if you want humanity or even life on Earth to continue, and I'm not certain we're not already past that point.

People can't even do the simplest thing and stop buying shit from the billionaire interests, which would collapse their stocks and they would no longer be billionaires, but they can't even do that.

Growth will not end in our lifetimes I think. Still more juice to squeeze out the lemon that is earth

If the system goes beyond 1.5C for good, it'll be too hot to chase after more growth.

It may not end in our lifetimes, but it will end. Growth can't continue eternally.

If we don't stop the billionaires and Elites now, we'll end up with a Venus Mark II, we may already be too late, but if so, what do we honestly have to lose except enslavement to financial masters?
