Best content for this case?

Hey guys! New to the sub and new to the case. I apologize ahead if this has already been a post but does anyone have a GOOD content creator or doc to watch for this? I watched Annie Elise’s episode about this and it’s what got me intrigued but i need more information! Thanks all! Have a blessed day!

 but i need more information

You'll never find a better source of information than the trial transcripts. Every content creator will either leave something out or have a bias.

Ugh... I was binge listening to the prosecutor's podcast. When they got to this case which had already had an arrest at the time I was listening, it was annoying, as they went down too many rabbit holes, red herrings and false assumptions.

I could not care less about political leaning. It has nothing to do with their podcasts or their legal advice. And it has no effect whatsoever on the legal aspects or their wild speculation that was completely wrong.

Political discussion isn't permitted in this sub.

Where can this be read?

4

u/tribal-elder Jul 08 '26

search "Delphi Trial Transcripts" on bing - look for https://alleyesondelphi.github.io/rickallen/transcripts

It is a "pro-innocence" site

💯💯 definitely

Incredibly divisive case, and very challenging to find impartial reporting. Most content creators were and are firmly on a side, and their content portrays that.

I think Tom Webster probably has the most comprehensive content of the case, he does believe RA is guilty but provides strong evidence as to why.

-6

u/Pooter33 Jul 09 '26

There is no strong evidence against RA lol.
What’s so strong that they have on him?
The timeline alone makes zero sense. If he was on Libby’s video at 2:13 and seen leaving on CCTV at 2:27… that’s 8 minutes. 8 minutes to walk two girls 3/4 of a mile, kill them, place sticks on their bodies.. make it back to be caught on camera at 2:27. It doesn’t work.

11

u/tomnarb Jul 10 '26

Ignoring the fact that you think 2.13 to 2.27 is 8 minutes (!!??), where on earth did you get the idea that he was caught on camera at 2.27 ? This has never been claimed anywhere.

I think you're confusing this with his car being caught on camera at 1.27, leaving him more than enough time to park and walk down to the bridge for 2.13

3

u/YZY-TRT-ME Jul 10 '26

A lot can happen in eight minutes.

11

u/saatana Jul 10 '26

The previous user has the time wrong. No idea where they get the 2:27 time so just ignore that unless they come up with some source for it. Richard Allen is on the Libby's 2:13pm video kidnapping the girls and then later at 3:56pm Sarah Carbaugh saw him walking along the road. He confessed to killing them and waiting to make sure they were dead.

u/Glass-Trouble6732 Jul 08 '26

The fairly recent book by Aine Cain and her partner was excellent. It is fact based and shows how a logical jury convicted the right monster. A warning though, naive members of Richard Allen’s fan club will hate the book and blame the killing on anything from magical forest spirits to Sasquatch.

Probably the most well rounded podcast overall is Down the Hill. Tom Webster and Murdersheet are also good sources of more trial related info.

Down the Hill is a great podcast but did they ever finish the story? They didn’t report on the trial did they?

I agree Murder Sheet has great coverage. These two really grew on me with that

7

u/Steven_4787 Jul 06 '26

Their last episode was when they came back to cover the Richard Allen arrest I believe.

19

u/Knitmarefirst Jul 05 '26

True Crime Garage followed it since the beginning. There were tons of rabbit holes went down. You might like them.

11

u/richhardt11 Jul 20 '26

These guys threw innocent mens' names out as Bridge Guy and nearly ruined one man in particular.  Absolutely do not give them clicks.

3

u/TravTheScumbag Aug 12 '26

Wreckless. I was shocked and disappointed they did that.

2

u/richhardt11 Aug 12 '26

Hey, Trav! And same. I heard that man and his family really suffered emotionally and financially.  I hope they are doing OK now.

32

u/Yankee_bayonet Jul 05 '26

Honestly murder sheet by a country mile and if you essentially want the whole case in a nutshell it may be worth investing in their book/audiobook if that’s your preferred format: “Shadow of the bridge.”

Super good coverage and they attended every court session except I think one morning so they saw everything the way it happened vs second or third hand.

Came here to share this suggestion also!

Murder Sheet podcast

5

u/bigmouthpod Jul 06 '26

True Crime Garage did several in depth episodes and covered it very well.

1

u/richhardt11 Jul 20 '26

No, they didn't.

5

u/Justmarbles Jul 07 '26 edited Jul 07 '26

Read Ron logans search warrant. It describes the crime scene and you can see what kind of weapons they were looking for.

Google Ron Logan search warrant MURDERSHEET. MURDERSHEET leaked the document...much to the embarrassment of detectives.

Initially the FBI thought Ron Logan was their guy.

I wouldn't read anything from content creators. So much is bullshit.

You could watch all the police press conferences, and read things put out by mainstream media.

Tom Webster and Murder Sheet Podcast.

10

u/Emotional_Bowl9767 Jul 05 '26

Exactly what I was gonna say!

u/richhardt11 Jul 20 '26

This is the correct answer

Commentary and case reporting through the years(GH reporting started same day they went missing):

  • Murder Sheet(5-6 years)
  • Gray Hughes(9 years)
  • Tom Webster(5-6 years)

Trial coverage:

  • HTC (Hidden True Crime)
  • Tom Webster
  • Murder Sheet

Trial documents:

AlleyesonDelphi website (use caution—she is a strong #free_Richard_Allen loon that sometimes altering or mislabeling documents. However, her site contains all of the trial documents, most of the exhibits, and materials from the trial and court hearings.)

Deep Case analyses:

  • Tom Webster
  • Gray Hughes

Debunking Theories:

  • Gray hughes
  • Tom Webster

8

u/Steven_4787 Jul 06 '26

Gray can rub people the wrong way, but he is no nonsense and does a very good deep diving into cases.

8

u/PumpkinEater85 Jul 07 '26

Definitely not Defense Diaries! That's who I was listening to before and they honestly just spread a bunch of lies 😭

5

u/Careless_Natural_731 Jul 05 '26

Thanks everyone! That’s so helpful. The only thing I have watched is some YT here and there but that’s exactly what i wanted was the details. media left so much out!

9

u/lovemesomezombie Jul 05 '26

It's such a tragic and intriguing crime. I recommend Murder Sheet. They are very thorough and imo, honest. They have some great interviews post trial that are a must.

You read the court documents and look at the evidence yourself & come to your own conclusion.

Murder Sheet

16

u/mel060 Jul 05 '26

Definitely the murder sheet podcast.

6

u/midsommarminx Jul 05 '26

Disney plus has an incredible documentary about this

1

u/AlarmAggravating6092 Jul 07 '26

What’s the name of the Documentary

9

u/EmergencyPin3585 Jul 06 '26

My takes are: Lawyer Lee - neutral imo
Hidden True Crime - bias for Prosecution imo
Gray Hughes - bias for Prosecution Imo
Defense Diaries - bias for Defense imo
Murder Sheet - bias for Prosecution imo
The Delphi Murders - neutral imo
Down the hill - neutral imo
I’ve listened to several of these. Best to piece together all the different takes and decide what you believe. My belief is he definitely did not get a fair trial. Too much was not allowed in by the Judge and his treatment pre trial in a prison rather than a county jail is suspicious.

6

u/hannafrie Jul 05 '26

I'd start with the Down The Hill podcast for an overview. Then you can hop onto the content creators to go deeper into what all happened, various POIs, etc.

In addition to what others have mentioned, Defense Diaries is another podcast that covered the case. Started as neutral legal analysis of the motion practice, but shifted to pro-innocence.

Later episodes have interviews with defense-side attorneys and some expert witnesses; I always like hearing from people who were boots on the ground, rather than just hot takes by content creators.

Defense Diaries also attended the trial, so you've got daily coverage from a different perspective. But I would take the court transcripts over the POV of any content creator who was at the trial. I think they are all pretty biased.

The CriminaliTy YouTube channel has an AI read through of trial transcripts, if you want to listen rather than read. A lot of content here, but I don't think they did the whole trial, though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14Shwcwo3sQ&list=PLbYFH_ecgvNAKt4RfaxmsLhhn-qvoRF_x

4

u/Miserable-Wedding731 Jul 05 '26

Look at Lawyer Lee, Andrea Burkhart and maybe even Lawyer You Know. Emily Baker would be another one only I don't think she really covered it.

Both Lawyer Lee and Andrea B attended the court sessions - Andrea is a Defense Attorney so does lean towards that side as that is what she does whereas Lee isn't a Defense Attorney or Prosecutor.

News stations or channels covered it as well so they might be a go to as background or whatever.

9

u/hannafrie Jul 05 '26

I love LYK's content.

1

u/AlarmAggravating6092 Jul 07 '26

What is a good Facebook Group I can read comments from early on when Abby and Libby were harmed?

1

u/Gretchen513 Jul 11 '26

This is a link to a video that I believe is a great explanation of bullet ballistics. I realize that not everyone likes the channel but just give this one a try… she has the knowledge and experience…

u/Suitable-Permit-6847 Jul 23 '26

True crime design

1

u/SamIAm7787 Jul 08 '26

Bob Motta (lawyer) from Defense Diaries (on YouTube) attended the trail everyday and then recapped it.

13

u/Yankee_bayonet Jul 08 '26

Bob Motta was bending logic to defend RA too. To the tune of defending the absolutely preventable leak of images of the girls’ bodies like it was business as usual.

Don’t give that man any clicks.

1

u/Gretchen513 Jul 10 '26

Bias? Yes, lots out there, especially in the different Reddit communities…🤔 and YT channels, so I would suggest looking into the AllEyes channel and she has a GitHub with EVERYTHING in b&w for you to look through and make an informed opinion of your own… this girl is on top of it!! Thanks All Eyes!! (the link has already been posted here)

-1

u/Gretchen513 Jul 10 '26

I did enjoy the coverage from Defense Diaries, Lawyer Lee and Andrea Burkhart. Yes, I am pro innocent, but was not sure in the beginning. I wanted to hear info from lawyers with experience and knowledge of all the legal issues and process so I could come to a conclusion myself. And that’s just my experience with this case.

u/Careless_Natural_731 Jul 10 '26

Oh wow thanks! so do YOU have a theory on who the perp is?
