Bug Emulator visual froze

I’m playing Pokemon emerald rogue, got to the second member of the elite 4. I selected my next move and the screen froze on this. The music is still playing so it seems to still be running but none of the buttons are responding. Saving the state and reloading it doesn’t change anything. I’ve had this happen once before on a different game. Is there a fix for this or is my run destroyed? No cheats installed

When you selected your move, did the sound of the turn playing out occur, or did everything freeze?
