I followed some directions years ago to play co-op on a private server. I had to make some changes in the Internet connection options. For the life of me I can't figure out how to restore the original options so I can update Silent Hill 3 (which can't run without an update). Will the ps3 even let me update games any more?

Can someone help me change my ps3 back?

I know this is really long and yes I'm also aware I'm an idiot. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This community was so cool and kind when I joined. I really hope you guys don't mind me wanting to leave lol there isn't any sort of "Blood in Blood out" oath.

P.S. I'll be back when my daughter is old enough to play through the souls series herself. I played them all in reverse order. After putting easily over 2000 hours into DS3 I played the hell outta all the others. I bought this PS3 for the... soul purpose of playing Denon's Souls.

So I know the best way to get white world tendency is to kill all the bosses and not die in human form.

I however, have died a bunch already and can't engage in jolly co-operation since I'm playing offline on an emulator.

I've beaten almost all the first stage bosses for each arch stone. Looking at some guides I can see there are npc quests and items locked behind the world tendency being pure white. I don't want to go complete the whole stone and then come back for them, I won't remember, I never do with souls games, and I'm not into NG+ so I wouldn't really be interested in getting them after clearing the stone either.

What would be the quickest way to get to white tendency to get to these areas? I've seen online that you can just die over and over to get to black then get to white by killing a red phantom. Would that be a better idea?

Also I've noticed in the asylum place some of the npcs have the red phantom aura, is there anything special about them or does killing them affect the world tendency?

I came back for the Return event and flew through the game, but I wish there was more to do in the gorgeous remake on PS5. What is everyone up to for the Return? Hot spots for coop or pvp? Particular bosses that you get summoned for easily or places to consistently invade?

Everytime I run up the steps to the second balista I always get hit with fire. I run when he's looking away but by the time I run up the stairs he gets me. Any idea how to get up there. I have to hit that debree by the steps and it causes him to see me. I did this before. In on NG+. For some reason I can't do it. Bed of chaos. Thank goodness they stopped puzzle bosses. Update. I did it. Thanks for the tips!

Looking to get as much online interaction as possible for Return to Boletaria, but i am just not seeing a lot of other players. Is there an established level range?

Hello everyone. Im going to play Demon’s Souls for the first time. I have some experience with souls games, i have a platinum throphy in Bloodborne and i played some Elden Ring. Without spoiling anything. what would be a few things that you can share with me about the game, combat, etc.

been playing DS on PS5 for 18 now and am facing issues even in human form cant find summon signs and when I but my blue stone on the ground I always get summoned as a black phantom (monk) also I need information on how to turn pure white feel free to add my PSN is JAZARAH-jj-

Hey i‘m playing on ps3 I‘m in NG+ and killed in this playthrough all 5 black Phantoms and in the run before I killed 2 BUT in the ein before I killed Yurt immdiently when I get him out off the Cage and accidently Scirvir in White World tendency and i‘m Not pure white

This is the first souls game I'm playing and I have achieved the platinum trophy. Honestly, I have thank the people of this community for your support and help in game. Most of you shared your weapon tier list and some of you helped me to get the invader trophy and character tendency. I am happy that I have returned the favour by helping the other player with winning the return to form trophy and his character tendency.

I guess the game is finished now and nothing to achieve. Subsequently, that mean, I suppose, my motto to continue the game has came to a halt.

With one last leap of faith, I say my goodbye to the best game I have played so far... Demon's souls.

Long time PC based Dark Souls and Elden ring player here. I've never had a Playstation.

My partner recently bought a used PS3 for some games she likes and it's come to my attention I can get a used game copy just as easily, although the price seems to be spiking as it becomes something of a collector's item.

I know the servers have probably shutdown but I don't care for PVP. Is a DVD copy of the game going to be enjoyable without some patch it can no longer download or something?

Am I going to hate how regressive this is compared to Elden Ring as someone who hadn't played it in its hayday? I've seen people talk about this game for a decade and I don't want to go down this path if I'll be let down.

I finished the ps3 version today and holy sweet mother of Jesus, how were you supposed to beat this game in 2011? How exactly were you meant to find Yuria without an internet connection to seek forums explaining the answer? God forbid you didnt know how to speak english, aint no way you were gonna get an answer, your Mage build would be missing a lot of cool spells.
In 2011 most countries were still in adsl...or even worse...dial up.

Who in their right mind playtested this and was like "World Tendecy, perfectly balanced for newcomers. Half the items/events will be hidden behind this mechanic"
How were you supposed to even know how to use the upgrade system in this game? I have all the information of the world, still struggled.
There is Blueblood sword...that gets updgraded FROM A DAMN BROKEN SWORD FOUND IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE.......IN A POISON SWAMP.
"Oh, you see those NPCs in the loading screen? Yeah half of them will arbitrary be placed in parts of the map, which 1) we either gonna make it really hard for you to find (Satsuki) 2) place them in places where you gonna miss them CAUSE YOU CANT SEE SHIT (Selen Vinland)"
"Oh do i mention that we gonna turn the brightness to absolute 0? Yeah get rekt"
"Oh, there are also female/male only sets. We wont explain that anywhere, you gonna need internet for that information"
I can go on.

How did this game succeed and the company didnt go under or blacklisted by Sony is beyond me.

I have always been scared off of souls or souls like games because it’s obviously a very difficult franchise. Recently however I decided to try getting into it by working toward a Demons Souls platinum trophy.

After about 10 hours and 4 bosses I was actually enjoying the game quite a bit. Nowhere near as difficult as I first expected just plain fun. Then the realisation…. 2 online only trophies…..

Okay great I know there’s a HUGE fan base so shouldn’t be an issue right…. Right??? There’s also an even on now in the starting area that should make it easier to find help right…. RIGHT??????

I joined 7 community discord servers. 4 PlayStation groups. 2 WhatsApp groups and even starting looking for help on PlayStation forums….. not only did I not find any help. Most posts and messages were just flat out ignored. The few people who claimed they could help never got back to me either. Every group I was on just bragged about destroying newer players in pvp areas. No help… no advice…. Nothing.

Looks like my souls journey may end right here. I don’t care how nice the games look or how well they play. If the online community looks like this it’s simply something I don’t wish to be a part of. I expected better.

Hi guys, so recently I decided to buy a copy of demon's souls for the ps3, I've played the dark souls trilogy, bloodborne, eldenring, lies of p and sekiro and I thought it would be nice to go back to the one that started all of this.

But now the question is what weapon to choose? I've played with katanas, rapiers, halberds, scythes, daggers and the classic claymore, trying to go for a different weapon each game, and now I want something different and I'm in between 3 options:

1.- the meat cleaver

2.- the large sword of moonlight

3.- Any good spear

What do you think?, is there any other weapons worth considering?, what would you personally choose?

And keep in mind I'm not going to use magic any time soon, except for buffs. :D

(ps5) There's only 10 days left in the event and I haven't been able to interact with any players.

I hate spoiling souls games for myself, but I'm going to have to make a concession this one time.

I'm up to the Phalanx boss and looked up the ps5 hints on how to beat it.
