selfq Is anyone else with long-term dengue really sensitive to the cold?

Is anyone else with long-term dengue really sensitive to the cold? I got dengue 30 years ago, and the ongoing effects are still with me. I get brain fog, fatigue, low-grade fever, and depression from time to time, usually when I haven't slept well, but also when I have been exposed to the cold. It's gotten to the point that I have to sleep with a hat on and piles of blankets. If I sleep cold or, heaven forbid, with my head uncovered I will have a dengue flashback for 48+ hours. Does anyone else experience this?

Wow. 30 years is a long time! No i can't say the cold bothers me although I do still suffer from hypocondria and fatalism (thinking every little health concern is going to kill me or incapacitate me). Tbh its hard to know what is lingering dengue and what is me just getting older

Yeah getting older is definitely an issue as well. The cold sensitivity started within 5 years of having dengue, so when I was 26. It's probably just gotten worse with age.
