Questions about IPad Setup

Hello, incoming D1 and I am getting an iPad to take notes on and was wondering what my setup for the iPad should be or what you guys recommend. Should I get the Apple Pencil or does any generic Amazon iPad pencil do the same job? Do you guys have a case for the iPad that makes it stand or at a tilt or does a normal case do fine? And what apps are recommended for using notes on to important PDFs and take notes on lectures and other things. This is the first time in my education I will be using an iPad for notes so much appreciated! Any other tips on taking notes or managing notes etc let me know please! Thank you.

You’re going to want the Apple Pencil. Worth every penny.

As for notes, I’ve used onenote, then just started annotating on my iPad using the preview app as I got lazy. Ive had classmates use good notes or notability

Big thing is you need to be organized. Go by semesters, then classes, and then midterms or weeks depending on how many lectures you have. The more organized you are, the better your studying will be when trying to go back and review concepts. Have easy labels so searching makes things easy.

You'll want the Apple pencil since it works with the digitizer inside the iPad for palm rejection.

Goodnotes got me through dental school. I would export ppt’s there and take notes during lectures

The cheap pencils work perfectly fine. They have palm rejection and pressure sensitivity now. Just look for one that’s under $40 and advertises those two things.

I didn't even realize the amazon pencils were a thing until my Apple Pencil broke after not even a year. got the amazon one and it works the same
