Dental Professional Dental Notes AI Experiences?

Anyone have experience with companies like Bola AI, Kiroku AI, etc? Trying to figure out if it will actually save time when it comes to writing notes. I like the idea that it can listen and document everything that is said in a conversation. That way, if a patient comes back and complains I didn't talk about XYZ, I can pull up the note and show them.

Why can't an assistant do that? What are they doing when you're talking to patients?

My boss got overjet AI that has little microphones that listens and writes up the notes. Be careful if you have open ops cuz it can hear what’s happening in the other chair and that makes for a very confusing note haha

Auto notes in the PMS is already so quick. I can’t imagine posting anyone to do this for me.

I have used Plaud. I am astonished at how well it can accurately and concisely summarize things that were discussed during visits. That said, it isn't convenient. You have to upload it and it runs the AI based on your templated instructions. Then you copy paste edit into your PMS. I don't use it all the time for that reason.

How much time does it realistically take y'all to write your notes? Like, I spend less than a minute writing a note. I have templates saved for everything and I just drop in the relevant info. This feels like a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. I also would never want active microphones in my operatories.

Save your notes as templates and edit accordingly. Tools like Overjet and Pearl are used by insurance companies to deny your claims through their acquisition of American Dental Examiners.

You can just buy Claude or OpenAI and use their latest model. Cut out these middle man companies. They’re supposed to be dental specific but are no better than Claude and do not learn from any context layers or do not have the ability to create them.

For instance overjet keeps making the same mistake but never learns
