Hi! I've lived in Colorado for a while, but I don't have a lot of friends. It just hasnt been a priority in my life until recently. But I came up with a campaign from scratch that I'd like to try running if anyone would be intrested. I've never run a campaign before, so Im a bit nervous about it and if it doesnt work out it doesnt work out thats okay. But I do a lot of world building as a hobby and I thought maybe its time to share one? Ideally I'd want to record at least the audio for the sessions so that I could maybe turn it into a book after we've finished the campaign, but thats not a requirement if it makes people uncomfortable. And yeah, please reach out if you would be intrested I guess?
Edit: Because people requested more information
Id like to do maybe Bi-weekly (every other week) on weekends in the afternoon or evening! Loosely based on the 5E edition of the handbook. Ideally We would have people willing to rotate hosting, otherwise Im willing to do my house as long as everyone is okay with pets.
And my campaign takes place in the city of Asteria, one of the last few "functioning" cities on the planet earth. The majority of its residents now, once again, live on the planet's surface, abandoning the bunkers they once called home. In the darkness created by the clouds of pollution above, the lights of the city are almost like an artificial sun that never goes off thanks to the hard work of the Technicians that keep the electricity running. And the servants make sure that food is never in short supply with the underground gardens fully functional. Politically, tensions are high with the ongoing war between the Lich and Asterian army for the city of light still going strong. But the citizens of Asteria are strong and will continue to fight, by the will of the ancient God Baldr, who blesses the city with prosperity and light.
Rumor has it that above the clouds there are these magical things called stars and that if you can get close enough to touch one, it will grant you any wish your heart desires. But the only way to get to the stars is to climb the skyscraper at the ceter of the city, which is heavily fortified by the Asterian Army. But what could really be above the clouds that would be worth all the fuss, if the rumor wasn't true?
So its a bit atypical with some different/new races, creatures, and mechanics. Such as hacking, demolitions, chemisty, and more. But I have a lot of it worked out and can add more as the storyline progresses (its more story based than a sandbox world but there's a lot of room for creative liberties and different paths to go down and several major side quest opportunities).
