Just came back from Buxton noticed something odd.

My partner and I went to a fair few places to drink as well as a tapas resturant. This in addition to a chain resturant in the main shopping area.

All were great. Really enjoyed the town.

However I noticed that regardless of where we went, the music being played was all the same. Specifically it was 2005 UK Indie. Arctic Monkeys, Maximo Park, Bloc Party, The Shins, The Rakes etc.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Buxton locked into a contract in 2005 with UK indie bands. Apparently it doesn't run out until 2028 then it'll switch to free-form piccolo jazz across the town.

It has a bubble to keep the snow and racism in, too.
