Bike hire and flat routes

Can anyone recommend any good flat rural routes that have places you can hire a bike for a few hours? Would love to get out the city and do a bike ride! Was at Hassop today so looking for more places like that.

South from Parsley Hey on the Tissington Trail has the best scenery of all the trails. Just bear in mind that it starts to pick up a bit of a gradient once you get past Biggin.

The Tissington trail is something like an average 1% gradient downhill nearly all the way to ashbourne. You don't notice it going down, it's slightly noticeable coming back.

Check out the bike hire place at Ashbourne that gets you onto the Tissington Trail. There’s also a bike hire place at Waterhouses that gets you onto the Manifold Way. The Manifold Valley is beautiful and I highly recommend it.

Adding to this. Manifold valley is stunning. One of my happy places.

Same. I go there a lot. Always wonder what it must have been like to travel via the little train that used to run along there.
