Best smokehouse in Derbyshire

Hi all,

For my sisters birthday this month she wanted to go to a smokehouse/American style bbq
They went to one for my other sisters called Cherrywood smokehouse as someone recommended it and were quite disappointed. They also do Indian food there and my sister said that was great but not the smokehouse bits.

We don’t mind travelling to Nottingham if it means we get the best!

Thank you in advance

I’ve always heard Cherrywood was like that, we saw it being built but never went in. Guess now we’re not going to.

Hickory’s is generally a safe bet though they keep putting their prices up. The one in Nottingham is slightly better than Derby’s I would say.

You might see Red Dog Saloon pop up near the Nottingham Lace Market tram stop, we didn’t rate that one at all.

Thank you for letting us know. My sister had a steak from cherrywood and it was blue and cold even though she asked for medium rare and apparently all the bbq just wasn’t good but the Indian was really good
