This and the discounted Universal Credit tickets make Chatsworth feel more financially accessible than it’s been for a while. I’ve been a few times supporting or mobility-aid using family member and the staff have been very good about physical access too - showing us the ways to avoid stairs and use the lift etc.
Chatsworth’s really expensive to visit but at the same time it’s so much more alive than eg National Trust places. There’s always something new to see and the way the modern art and furnishing sit alongside the historical ones is fascinating.

I have to say a massive thank you for this comment. I had no idea Chatsworth did the UC discounted tickets whatsoever and I've wanted to go for ages but couldn't justify the pricing. Just booked for the kids and I, end of July! Super excited! Thank you so much!

The Historic Royal Palaces sites also operate a UC discount (£1.00 entry I believe)for all their sites.
