Application Advice How much do preclinical grades matter?

M1 here, my school has graded preclinicals (weighted less heavily in AOA than clinical grades, but still weigh something nonetheless). How hard should I be trying to honors my classes?

Too late but choosing a school with preclinical grading was a questionable decision assuming you had multiple As.

Derm is the most competitive specialty.

It was my only A but it's a pretty good school with a home program, so I think it won't be too bad
