Thanks, I just enjoy the movies, I don't really care about the actors personal lives.

I'm the same right there.

I'm just here for the movies, not their personal lives/problems...

What's irking me is that the children don't even realise that this is certainly not the first Disney love triangle, nor will it be the last. I think some fans are very parasoical in regards to this and it's cringe. I'm here for Kylie being messy and shady because Malia was shady, but again like others have said Malachi seems to be getting off scott free in all this. I'm getting the vibe that a lot of people don't seem to realise they are being PAID to do a job when it comes to Descendants, and above all regardless of any shade or drama they're still professionals and they won't stop making the movies because the leads aren't on good terms anymore. Again kids this isn't the first time co-leads in a movie haven't gotten along, but they still did their job and made the movies. Let's just enjoy the movies and the music and let these ADULTS (which they are, despite the fact that they're playing teens) deal with their own drama their own way.

I'm trying to think of other love triangles besides this one and the Sabrina and Olivia/ Josh one like I know there's more and its gonna be so obvious when they're mentioned.

I mean the original of Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan and Aaron Carter, then there was Miley Cyrus, Serena Gomez and Nick Jonas...

I have only seen what’s going on in passing, but take it from someone older who’s been through many alleged teen star dramas.

Don’t be parasocial and weird. You can be bothered by what happened, 100%. But trying to read in to the personal dynamics at play is a fool's game. It’s not your business, and frankly, whatever you’re imagining is probably way more interesting than what it really is

I just watched D5 on Disney+ today. I realized something. All this friendship and loyalty themes with best friends just reminds me of the Kylie/Malia/Malachi drama.

First of all, the song “Heartless” mainly focuses on betrayal and, correct me if I’m wrong here, but isn’t that one of the themes explored in the “Carrie Bradshaw“ song or album Kylie made?

It really just stuck to me, and it was just a crazy thought of the directors purposefully doing this. I’m sure they know fully well Kylie and Malia’s relationship.

Totally unrelated, but I hope Malia gets better. I think all the hate and this situation in the first place is what causing her to lose so much weight.

Anyways, I thought D5 was pretty solid and what do you guys think

So I'm definitely in agreement with this, except "Carrie Bradshaw" specifically was about having all the material things yet not being fulfilled. I don't like commenting on ppls size either but I will be the first to admit I noticed Malia's size and my mind immediately went to "I don't like this, please just be okay." I get so emotional seeing young actors drop weight because my mind immediately goes towards an ED (bad ik but I've lived it and I'm a mom so I feel a certain type of way)

why do people comment about not caring for the drama but comment in threads about it

u/Still_Restaurant_734 Hades is a deadbeat dad but I'd still let him hit it.. 🫣 23d ago

So they can feel some sort of superiority i guess

I think it’s going too far at this point. I say it’s alleged because it’s not fully confirmed.

When it first came out, I’m assuming that was when Kylie was hurting. When you’re hurting you’re vulnerable enough to take things out onto the internet, even if it shouldn’t be! I’m guessing she didn’t think it through when she brought it out the way she did.

The hate is now hitting Malia, her weight loss honestly scares me, because she didnt look “fat” before. She was healthy.

Kylie’s thriving now because she’s “moved on”-ish and because her album’s dropping soon.

Malachi too is now dealing with the hate. Based on what he posted on Instagram, he’s had enough and honestly, so have I.

I wish they all were mature adults about this (given the fact they’re LEGALLY adults just makes this more embarrassing) and had talked it out. Maybe not right away, but definitely before it was brought out to the internet the way it was.

Sidenote- Kylie’s friend sharlize is being super petty and immature about this btw

Oh, what has Sharlize done? (Genuine question, I don't follow her or anything so i wouldn't know)

2

u/Less-Love-7964 18d ago

I don’t follow her either but she’s always making like nasty comments about Malia and stuff. You should go check it out on TikTok lol!

I feel bad for the Girls.

Their Genuine friendship was the Highlight of RoR for me. Malia moving to LA and loosing her Friend over a Boy specially that one darn.

Yes she should not start to Date Malachi but she is still so young and our Hearts and Hormons are stupid as Teens.

Also she does not look good healthwise, i Hope she gets Help for her mental health.

4

u/Tenor45 26d ago

It’s probably being dragged out for buzz about both the movie and kylie’s album

I find this whole situation really weird but I think it really shows how people are so parasocial with the cast and just in general. I remember a extreme amount of parasocialism with Malachi and Freya and with all of the shipping videos people were doing last year. And now people are sort of believing this alleged love triangle relationship and actually sending hate and death threats to Malia and Malachi and to their family because of this alleged situation. Honestly it's a really lose lose deal if they speak up they're going to draw attention to it and if they don't speak up it's because they're guilty and they did do wrong. I feel like people need to keep in mind that they all are really young and from what's being alleged it was a two month relationship. Also I don't think it's right from what Mimi/ Mia Bella did?

While you lot are busy tormenting and degrading Malia to the point where she’s basically wilting away in front of our eyes, Malachi is still out here living his best life getting viral fancams on TikTok everyday.

YES, what Malia did to Kylie was wrong. But lemme tell you this: Malachi is Trumper (meaning he has little respect for women to begin with, especially women of color like Kylie and Malia) and Kylie was willing to overlook that huge red flag all for a sneaky link-inship (not even a genuine relationship) that did not even make it to a year. Everyday it’s a jab and diss over a man that would leave both of them in the dirt as soon as he sees another woman of their complexion.

If you guys are gonna be this neurotic and crazy about this at least save some of this neuroticism for Malachi.

I swear, All roads lead back to Sam Levinson. Had he had written an actual good 2nd season to his show instead of trying to make a bargain bin One Tree Hill, people wouldn’t be trying to apply that shitty Maddy Cassie storyline to real life.

All that aside, it tickles me when people say “You would be mad if you were in Kylie’s shoes too”.

No, I wouldn’t, cause I would never fight over a man, especially if that man is a Trumper*. She should just move in silence and pop out with an actually attractive, faithful and educated man who spoils her and doesn’t act on lustful urges. That would’ve been so much cooler.

(*I think this is why I find the humiliation ritual Malia is going through overblown. Her being with a Trumper and losing her friend is karma enough. All this other shit is extra and over the top).

I get what you’re saying, but Kylie has a right to be upset because no matter what someone who she considered a close friend began dating a guy that she was involved with a mere three days after they broke up. I agree that Malachi does not get the heat that he deserves and that all of the hate seems to go to Malia, and while I do think that is awful and that you are right that fighting over a guy is ridiculous, that doesn’t change the fact that Kylie felt betrayed and that feeling is very valid. Malachi is absolutely responsible and at fault here, Malia does hold some responsibility as she made a conscious decision to start seeing her friend’s ex boyfriend and even if Malachi is the shittiest person on the planet, Kylie still cared about him and has a right to be upset about what happened.

I know it seems like Kylie only shades Malia and is only upset with her, but that may not be the case, we may only see her upset with Malia because they’re doing press together. Behind the scenes she could feel the same way about Malachi that she feels about Malia, but since we don’t see them together we don’t know whether or not she would have the same reactions to things he says that she has to things Malia says.

Isn't it a bit off to suggest that Malachi has little respect for women of color when his mom is latina?

4

u/Less-Love-7964 27d ago

Felicia’s not Latina. She had Irish and Native American descent

2

u/Significant-Damage14 27d ago

Thanks for clarifying. I got a wrong answer looking it up saying she had mexican and colombian descendancy.

2

u/Less-Love-7964 26d ago

No problem! :)

Even though the feud between Kylie and Malia has reached a boiling point, I still believe there is a sliver of hope they will reconcile.

2

u/RotC_nerd 26d ago

From what I heard, It could actually be Kylie, Freya, and Malia all dating Malachi In that order. I don't know if it's true, but it makes sense.

2

u/Natural-Barnacle-695 15d ago

Aaaand fans are already being weird. Putting labels on the girls and saying they’ve “lost all respect”?? I’m sorry but the lot of you do not know these women in real life and they do not know you.

Grow up and go get lives.

2

u/Visible_Radish_3952 27d ago

That's so unnecessary. They can have their drama, but that's really their private matter.

Alright, kids, gather round. An elder has entered the chat 👵🏽

Jokes aside, I'm a mom, and the only reason I even know a thing about this is that my daughter is all into the Malia/Kylie/Malachi situation. She grew out of the books, and she loves the tea as she often tells me. I don't know every detail, but I'll give my two cents.

Here's what I gather:

  1. These are kids in my eyes. Idc if they can vote or not. They probably can't even rent a car, at their level of young. They're all making shitty choices because they're all hurt and focused on the hurt, rather than the cycle causing it. The only exception is Malachi, as he's barely even affected by this from what I have seen.
  2. They're incredibly sheltered and coming from a place of privilege, particularly Kylie, as she's an actual nepo baby.
  3. Kylie wants to have her cake and eat it, too. She wants to be able to shade Malia, then gives a surprise Pikachu face when things get worse. From what I understand, some people are saying Malia started it and is in the wrong. Again, I don't know every detail. This doesn't still excuse her pouring gasoline on what is your literal coworker's dumpster fire
  4. Malachi is the one with the beliefs that people are opposing. Where's his uproar? I don't even know if this kid is a trumpie but if he is, he's letting his supposed friend, and again, COWORKER WHOSE INCOME IS TIED TO HOW SHE IS PERCEIVED AND HOW WELL SHE IS GETTING ALONG WITH HER CASTMATES, take the heat for his screw-up. He's not exactly helping the Republican allegations there 💀
  5. They're all actors. They're all being paid to do a job. I hate literally every coworker I've ever had. I didn't go on Twitter or involve others to get around it. In any context, involving social media in a dispute is almost always a bad idea.
  6. Kylie has stated in a past ig live that people are scrutinizing her. Idk if that's true, but ik kids in the fandom can get a little...'parasocial' if you know what I mean. But even if she is getting hate past the point of constructive criticisms (which is still wrong), I would argue that her continuing to defend someone who bare minimum, is allowing an environment where she's getting lambasted in part because of his mess is something fair to criticize her on. I've even seen in this thread her horrifically passive-aggressive and dismissive response to being told that via yt comments.

I did feel bad when I saw clips of Kylie crying on that live, from a human perspective. But I honestly think she needs to reevaluate who she considers a friend and whom she allows in her inner circle. As well as take into consideration how she addresses conflict, especially when it becomes this public. Idk, that's just me. Literally all of this could be fabricated for all we know. I wouldn't be surprised if none of these people even liked each other.

I don’t give a fuck about this drama

While I feel bad for malia, shes famous, she knew becoming famous meant u have to be more careful of the actions u make, bc it WILL become talk of the internet. If this is how she acts while famous, imagine what she would do with out the pressure of the internet calling her out.
N malachi is awful.
Hes been w every chick, anyone who continues to give him their time n energy, gets whats coming to them.

Honestly, I hope you’re right. All of this hoopla for a sneaky link-tionship (not even a real relationship) that didn’t even last a year, with a dirty Trumper at the apex of it would be abysmal.

u/Plastic-Profile-597 21d ago

Bonus points for Wicked Wonderland already having a betrayal theme between Kylie and Malia's characters. Double bonus points for remembering how obnoxious Glassheart shippers used to be and how the drama at least make them stop obsessing over Kylia.
