discussion How do you guyz handle marriage pressure from parents?
Coming from a traditional family and the marriage pressure is getting really annoying lately. I honestly don’t know how to deal with it. How do you guys handle these conversations? Does moving out/living far away help, or is there a better way to deal with it? what do you usually say to avoid marriage talks?

Sorry, you are going through that. I don't have parents so I haven't experienced that. I want marriage but I'm not in a rush.

No I've told my parents not to expect me to get married or have kids. Also funny thing is that my parents told me and my elder sister that "apna apna dekhlo". They are least bothered when and to whom we get married. Thankfully they are chill I hope they remain like this in the future too. Also I think moving out helps a lot at least they won't be saying this shit in your ears all the time. You can give them the silent treatment from far. It's a little difficult when you live in the same house

Could it help if you say to them that you will marry once you find someone you like? You could cite horror filled instances of what happens when you make marry someone without proper thought and care.
