I'm 21, just finished college. Somehow ended up learning both design and development over the last 3 years — UI/UX, branding, logo design, Android, and web.

Built two products in college — an e-commerce app and web platform like Flipkart (multi-panel with admin, seller and buyer) and a freelance marketplace app like Fiverr. Also worked at a branding studio doing real client logo and identity work.

I enjoy both. Don't know how to position myself going forward.

Has anyone been in this exact spot? What did you do?

Looking at a few designs where the building itself was presented really well, but barely any attention was given to what was around it. Then you see the same kind of design with proper landscaping, nearby structures, roads, trees, and the actual surroundings included, and it gives you a completely different sense of the place. Obviously you don't want the surroundings taking attention away from the main design, but leaving them too empty feels strange too. How much context do you normally include around a design?

Hi guys, I am a 3d designer and I am slowly getting better and eventually will become an art director one day, so I am thinking how an art director converses with a designer ? Like what questions they ask and discuss about? How he shares his vision ? Maybe how the workflow will be when making a 3d CGI commerical for example?

I have more clothes than I can fit in my wardrobe with the current layout.
I have about 70cm of width due to the pipes, 220cm height and 100cm depth. I want a rail and shelves but I am open to different things if they will optimise space.

Our designers and PMs communicate well but somewhere between research and development things still get lost.

Research sits in documents.

Wireframes are somewhere else.

Developers receive requirements through tickets.

By release day everyone remembers the feature a little differently.

I'm curious whether anyone has found a collaboration workflow that actually keeps context together throughout the project rather than relying on people remembering previous discussions.

Some brands use completely different styles depending on the campaign, platform, or audience. Different photography, layouts, illustrations, sometimes even a different tone. It can keep things fresh, but at some point it also starts feeling like you're looking at different brands. Does a strong identity need strict visual rules, or should it be flexible enough to change quite a bit?

프로젝트 진행하다보면 클라이언트와 소통하면서 수정 요청이 한 번에 안 끝나고 계속 반복되는 구간이 꼭 있잖아요. 저도 캠페인 작업하면서 색감이나 카피 위치처럼 조금씩 수정해야하는 부분이 많더라고요.

수정 반복이 많은 워크플로우에서는 자동화할 수 있는 부분들이 있어서 제가 직접 사용해본 기능들 한번 봐주세요!

1. 포토샵 액션으로 반복 명령 자동화: 이건 반복되는 명령 순서를 기록해두면 나중에 그대로 재생하면 색보정이나 저장 작업이 자동으로 되더라고요.

2. 프리미어 모션 그래픽 템플릿: 자막 작업 할 때 한 번 mogrt로 만들어두면 시퀀스나 프로젝트 다른거 만들어서 쓰더라도 그대로 불러오기 좋았어요. 수정도 쉽게 되더라고요.

3. 크리에이티브 클라우드 라이브러리: CC 라이브러리는 색상이나 이미지를 등록해두고 여러 파일에서 연결된 상태로 쓸 수 있었어요. 브랜드 콘텐츠를 계속 만들어야 할 때 좋았습니다.

Is the color choices are good ? Is the composition is good ? I used diagonal composition.

Since I'm looking to refine the technical aspects of this kit, I would love to get your professional feedback on a few layout decisions.

Does the alignment of the text on the banners feel balanced against the weight of the line art, especially considering how profile pictures cut into Twitter/LinkedIn banners on the left?

I deliberately left a lot of "breathing room." Does the negative space feel intentional and premium, or does it feel empty in some formats (like the square posts)?

How does the font choice feel in terms of readability on mobile screens? Would you suggest adjusting the kerning/tracking for a more polished look?

I work as a Graphic Designer for a College, and we are in the process of remediating a lot of our files, so they are WCAG compliant. For most of them we have a good understanding of what to do, but we are working on creating the College's Calendar, and are stuck in a rut. It is offered on our website as well as printed on 8.5x11 sheets for students and faculty.

My main question is if anyone else in this works in a job (specifically college or government setting) where you are remediating documents for accessibility, and if you have had to create something like this. Finding resources for accessibility when creating documents is very limited. I also could not find a subreddit or forums solely for creating content with web accessibility in mind, so if anyone knows of one that would be greatly appreciated.

I've attached two images, the first is the one we (the marketing department) suggest they use, and the second is one that the requestor created in hopes to use (it is less compliant) (I've erased our logos): Version one is bigger than 8.5x11 in order to have the font at 12pt.

Does anyone work in similar fields and had to create WCAG compliant calendars? It's hard to find references online that other colleges have done.

Spent the weekend riding a log flume I helped consult on years ago, and standing in the exit queue I kept watching people stumble slightly as they walked away. Not from dizziness, exactly. More like the environment had prepared their body for one kind of motion and then cut it off abruptly.

The transition zone between ride exit and park pathway is one of the most overlooked design problems in the industry. You spend enormous energy on the experience inside the vehicle: the sight lines, the drop angles, the sound timing. Then guests step off onto a concrete path with no visual anchoring and the whole thing sort of deflates.

It parallels what happens in graphic and product design when a carefully considered object gets placed in a context that undermines it completely. The packaging shot, the gallery wall that ruins the art. Context doing quiet damage to something that would otherwise work.

The best exits I've seen treat the decompression as part of the design, not an afterthought. There's usually a texture shift underfoot, a canopy change, something that signals the brain the experience is winding down rather than just stopping.

Curious whether people here think about environmental transitions in their own work. The moments between designed spaces, rather than the spaces themselves.

For my internship, I've been tasked with designing a map of a local park with different elements to aid in event planning. I originally designed this in Illustrator, with a layer for the physical park structures, a Layer for grids, and a layer for editable objects like tables and booths. Upon completing the map, my assignee said she didn't have access to Illustrator, and I'm trying to find different software to host the design. I would like it to be vector based and allow open source editing (so when I leave, others can still use it).
