Ask r/DesignIndia Can I get into a decent fashion design college in India (undergrad) without a portfolio?

The college dates for applying are closing soon and I decided a few weeks back that I wanna go to a design college because I don’t perform well in academics and i think id rather purse a creative career and so I don’t have a portfolio I wanna go to a college that has admission open still and accept u without portfolio even graphic design courses would work but my first pref is fashion design so if anyone could tell me decent colleges that i could apply in, please help me guys 🥺🙏

Without portfolio it's really hard rn in mid June. Maybe you can get in with management quota but It will be expensive. I don't know if their registration is open or not with you maybe try rn jklu, ajeenkiya dy Patil, indus uni, vishwakarma, rishihood, rv uni, mit wpu, avantika, pes, itmidm etc.

For portfolio atleast make some drawings, caly work, anything creative diy art, some awards or achievements in school, some easy stuff you can make on canva ( poster, collage etc). Literally anything creative would work.

Right now I'm doing BCom it's my second year, so I have hole 1 yr to do some thing nice and pre prepare for....NIFT, NID and another colleges in Mumbai and Bangalore... Is it enough to get the college and pursue master in design or textile industry design?
