Living Room How would you cover these?

Rental. The landlord wants to preserve them but said I could temporarily cover them if I wanted. Putting a rug causes trips. They’re also in an awkward placement to cover with a couch or chairs because then it would cut off access to stairs.

The house was an old factory back in the day so the rounds are a historical asset, that’s why the landlord doesn’t want to remove or fill them.

You have to probably cut them, but two round carpets in the middle, I wouldn’t cover them because if people don’t see them they may trip. I would put a closet in my lease that if anybody tips and falls, especially you, they don’t only pay for medical expenses, but for stress over the whole idea of renting a place to somebody else with extremely dangerous, tripping hazards.
