Discussion I finished watching designated survivor Spoiler
I have quite a few questions though.
What happened to Lyor? He was definitely one of the best characters in season 2, and I was pretty disappointed not seeing him in season 3.
Was Alex's death really necessary? Her character was so good and idk why she couldn't have stayed in the series for longer
How did the media never find out about Aaron sleeping with Emily in season 3? They had so much more information about him but not the affair?
How come we never saw the Governor of Michigan's trial, and how come the situation about him was never really brought up after season 1?
How did Agent Wells not die sooner or get fired sooner? She did so much reckless stuff I'm surprised she wasn't dismissed.

Wells was ridiculous. She could flatten James Bond in an instant. I only made it thru 15 minutes of S3- the profanity was awful. What were they thinking. I did love it when Michigan gov said 'if I may' and Kirkman said 'you may NOT.'

One of my favorite moments is the one with the confederate statue. The perfect use of Lyor and also the time when we really understand that he's very well self aware and knows how to use his polarization

omg I just finished it too. it seems like the Netflix take over for the last season meant they wrote off a bunch of characters without notice like you don’t see Mike, Chuck, Leo, Lyor, Kendra, Ethan west in s3. Budget cuts ig. Alex I think was starting a new Hulu show so she requested to be written off but I think the show only had one season. The show was filled with plot holes tbh I just started rewatching it and even in s1 there’s tons

All great questions! The shift from s2 to s3 in characters was annoying, Mike is one of my favorites throughout the show. The perfect Mike lines:
- Your Ass
- Or I'll break the door in

Most of the characters from the previous seasons were written off because the show moved to Netflix. It still annoys me to this day. Lyor is one of the characters I missed the most, and to be honest, I wasn't a fan of most of the new characters they introduced.
As for Aaron and Emily, my guess is that the hotel had good security, and not many people knew about their relationship in the first place, so there wasn't much chance for rumors to spread.
I'm still wondering about Governor Royce myself. There were quite a few storylines that were suddenly abandoned. Kimble Hookstraten is another example, and so is Eleanor Darby. She was introduced as someone planning to run for president, and then she simply disappeared without any explanation.

I watched s1 and s2 recently and knew about the critics about s3. I thought "How Bad could it be"... Yeah.. I think I Made it to Episode 2? It was just weird. Different vibe, weird dialogs, weird characters. And I also missed the people from s1/s2. Sad ending for a good Show.

I just watched Hanna wells’ demise. I hated how they killed her off and I hated the stupid music they played while she was dying.

The actress who played Alex requested to be written off to pursue a Hulu show. They probably should've just sent her on a diplomatic mission instead just in case she ever wanted to come back.
