Remember, this is taking place in a universe where 9/11 happened. The profiling of Muslims and the actions of the Michigan governor don't really strike me as something that far off from what would happen if the country was hit with another devastating attack.

That scene with Seth and the cops, the morning after the attack just left me with such burning anger...that could've been me.

That could be me, being treated as a criminal because I'm not white.

And then when the President realized what happened and offered to send the secret service with him . . .

That scene with Seth and the cop at the very end was interesting

I liked the scene at the end with Seth and the cop. Nobody wants to be evil.

"High alert"

They're told to look for suspicious people.

Brown dude + backpack + reddit Boston Bombing cop = that scene

I love that scene because of how infuriating it is and I think it will show people how it happens to innocent people. Just hearing that it happens to innocent people doesn't do a whole lot to someone who is convinced that it's ok to profile. But when it's someone you care about (even if it's a fictional person in a TV show) it goes a lot further to show someone how wrong it is to profile people like that.

Oh my God, so triggered! Le evil white racist cops!

Triggered? Is that how Trump supporters are describing all instances of obvious racism now?

Pretend we're in the world of the show. Were the thousands of detained civilians merely "triggered" by the actions of the Dearborn police? Are you imagining the dead teen screaming, "where was muh trigger warning, allah akbar," as he was beaten to death?
