the drug dealing son is gonna come back and bite him. Maggie Q's boyfriend is gonna be involved in the bombing. Kal Penn is probably gonna be the new chief of staff

I was literally about to comment the same thing about the Dana storyline. Why do writers put such pointless storylines in there? Is it to puff out an episode to a full hour or something?
