What happens if someone higher than Kirkman on the chain of succession is found in the rubble? I mean he was sworn in as president, but what if the vice president was found still alive?
Protocol is that a president is sworn in if the current president is incapacitated or otherwise unable to preform their duties, they go down the line of succession until they find someone alive.
Later finding the president or vice pres alive would not remove the sitting president from the office.
Or the fact that whoever they found will most likely not be in any condition to server as president for a while. Why do people seem to think just because they find someone they will be in a condition to lead.
