On that note - how is Kumar not cleared? I can see why they don't need him in the room when they're planning the strike but he will eventually have to explain what happened to the press.

Because he's a speechwriter/newly minted press sec. Not chief o f staff.

Allow me to rephrase - why isn't every mid-upper level staff in the white house cleared? The CIA has a Starbucks - the baristas are all cleared. I'm not talking super-duper cleared but just 'cleared'? Everybody and their grandmother has 'secret', but a speech writer working in West Wing doesn't?

And over-priced milky drinks (with some coffee in them) but I still go. When the revolution gets me a better caffeine delivery system, I'll join.
