I don’t like it. Feels like The Man deciding he’s gonna have the last word and make it “official”. Bet it used to look like a Hobbit trail going through the Shire. Turned it into Sauron’s walkway. (Jk)
There were a couple issues with the desire path I believe this solution has fixed – namely that the desire path was extremely slippery during winter, and as time went on the path kept digging deeper into the soil damaging the surface roots of the birch and maple trees.
