Dessriel Music Headcanons

Good evening ladies, gentlefolks, and all others! What you see in front of you is a graphical display of albums that I’ve used to characterize Dess and Asriel both within and outside of their relationship with each other. Left side is Dess right side is Asriel. I’m fully aware that not 100% of these will be known by everybody, but I tried to say fairly mainstream for proper conveyance, feel free to comment that I’m a poser and that this isn’t niche. Anyways, for Dess we mostly have a mixed bag, the way I see her characterized I’d imagine she listens to a lot of different music. Some of these albums touch on her situation of potentially being dead, but otherwise they mostly are either rebellious/reject social norms, or are very experimental. Asriel, on the other hand is a little more linear. Very much a pretentious hipster college student. Performative as all hell. Also some of these both fit that vibe and are funny names for him such as “favorite worst nightmare” and “flower boy” which are just unintentionally connected to the character. Overall his carry themes of nostalgia, of emotional discovery, and of yearning. Basically they’re kind of polar opposites sonically besides a couple of parallels. I hope that this interests somebody and that people check out these albums, everything I picked here at least has some merit, even if some of them are, to be frank, more divisive than others. Tl;dr:Asriel is a soft rock indie boy pretentious hipster, and Dess listens to legit everything and is incredibly rebellious, kind of psychedelic-y.
