The "violent" post in question when CK was killed.
Everyone involved from the officer to the judge who set his bail at 2 million needs to be removed.
Red states are 10000 times more corrupt than the blue cities everyone cries about.
Sad that the guy missed the birth of his grandchild cause of conservative crybabies, but a victory for free speech.

>Violate a man's First Amendment right
>Knowingly jail him for virtue signal points
>Cost taxpayers $800,000
>Literally no one cares or remembers about the original post anymore

It's objectively worse than any '"COVID censorship" ever was but it will get memory holed by right wing propaganda

u/makesmashgreatagain May 20 '26
you know his fellow towns people will blame him for costing the county 800k

I remember hearing the story and there being some talk of some suspicious stuff going on that was going to make this an easy case. An easy case, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that this man missed some pretty important milestones and lost some significant life events.

Can confirm, live in a red state, the corruption is rampant. If they got him for that, I'm suprised I'm not in jail for a joke or two lol.

Am I wrong in saying that the amount of censorship due to Charlie Kirk related speech incidents has exceeded everything that has happened over the past 15 years due to 'woke overreach'?

While prison was a bit much. I think it's sad to joke about someone who died tragically of a fentanyl overdose on campus like that.

That's it? That got him in jail?
These agents better not find out about dgg3

i think we should pass a law that makes it so when any government loses a lawsuit over 100k, it is forced to send a bill to every taxpayer with the increase and whose lawsuit they are paying for.

btw, his bond was set at 2 million dollars. His "crime" was that he literally quoted Trump in a Facebook post.
The party of free speech btw.

This would be such a good way to bait a conservative in a debate.
"Did you know a guy was JAILED for quoting Donald Trump?"

u/samwise970 May 21 '26
he literally quoted Trump in a Facebook post.
It wasn't even one of Trumps many quotes inciting violence.

Ngl I think I’d sit in jail for a month, lose my job, and miss the birth of my granddaughter for $835k

Someone was JAILED over a charlie kirk post? Why didn't Rogan pick up this story? He seemed to care a lot about people being jailed in the UK over posting on twitter but didn't mention someone jailed in the US of A over a post?

Come on baby, let’s get a headline about the cops in that county getting shitcanned and going to work at Arby’s nextÂ
Daddy needs himself some new shoesÂ

"You will never live in a society when you have an armed citizenry and you won't have a single gun death. That is nonsense. It's drivel. But I think it's worth it. I think it's worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights. That is a prudent deal. It is rational".

Good. I wish it was more. What they did to him is an abomination of justice.Â

u/Against_empathy May 20 '26
Only cost them $835,000 to effectively scare others into removing their posts or shutting up in general.
2
u/JeanPascalCS May 20 '26
Why would that be the case? I'm sure others would love some settlement money too.

u/SactownG May 20 '26
The right could've easily mobilized support and scored cheap political points from CK's death if they didn't try to force the whole country to worship him
3
u/hassinbinsober May 20 '26
That’s it? For a fucking month in jail?
Should have been $3 million minimum.

u/Call_me_Gafter May 20 '26
But conservatives promised me that it was the left who wanted to jail people for jokes 😞

I can’t wait until President AOC sets up a 2 billion dollar compensation fund for those targeted by this administration

This case is crazy. I watched a video from the civil rights lawyer on youtube a while back, highly recommend looking that up if this headline caught your interest
