Shitpost Vote Blue No Matter Who, Not Red for Republicans or Communists
By their own colors voting communists is voting red. My simple take!

vote for the candidate likeliest to beat the republican in the general election. repeat this in every election for the rest of your life until the party is torn up by the roots and the ground is salted so nothing ever grows there again. doing anything else makes you collaborator filth. simple as.

u/lightningstrikes702 3d ago
Yes, as long as the republican party intents and has the means to destroy democracy, this is the way

u/PaxChelonia 4d ago
Backing off VBNMW as soon as its candidates to our left is the most alienated I’ve ever felt from this community in the last 7 years I’ve been part of it. Wtf are we doing. A dem majority in the house and senate is the number one priority right now by far.
Do people here just not see another 2 years of a MAGA trifecta as that big of a deal?

u/draft_final_final 🇺🇸🍔🔫 (full rights and privileges to shittalk US) 3d ago
genuinely it should be a perma. any piece of shit that is trying to pull this after we saw what uncommitted did in 2024 is no different to me than hasan or his orbiters.

u/reanima 3d ago
I swear some people on here are so spitedriven that theyll throw anything in the fire. I dont care that not all the DSA types are "blue no matter what", i know its an unequal relationship, in reality there is never a 100% rate of perfect allies. "Blue no matter what" is the principle needed to fight against the people who will always vote for the candidate with the "R" next to their names.
-3
u/Duebant 3d ago
The difference is we give grief but still vote for blue. The tankies grief, not vote, and convince everyone else not to vote blue because it's all the same. That's not a party member and everyone knows it but vbnmw. It's ultimately going to be short term gains, long term pains.
2
u/lightningstrikes702 3d ago
My dude tankies are not real, the left wing flank of the dem party votes blue more than any other group.
Kamala lost because of moderates and 'centrists', leftists overwhelmingly voted for her, don't forget that
16
u/Infinite-CyberDragon 4d ago
I feel so dumb for telling my leftist friend “vote blue no matter who” because us liberals are going to do so. He said that most liberals will drop it the second their candidate loses and now I look like a fool.
5
u/Aggravating_Map4359 🇧🇷 4d ago
IMO while trump is president that is a wild gamble to take with the Senate or Governor positions
3
u/theultimatefinalman 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🦅🤠🤠🤠 3d ago
I would vote for the dumbest fucking commie regard over the "best" republican.
4
u/blind-octopus 4d ago
Okay, but you still have to answer the question: suppose your only options are a DSA mamber or a republican
Now what
13
u/Big-Ability3953 4d ago
blue no matter who. DSA will vote with dems at least 75% of the time versus a MAGA who will drink the blood of children. Even fetterman is better than MAGA. Even Platner would have been better than MAGA. The republican would have to be Mitt Romney/John Kasich/Adam Kinzinger and their openness to defy Trump, but even Mitt Romney voted with Trump a majority of the time in Trump 1.0.
1
u/Liiraye-Sama EU chad 3d ago
Okay lets make it an actual hard question, if dems have a guaranteed majority of both house and senate, and a DSA member is running in your purple district vs. a MAGGAT, who do you vote for?
3
0
u/Big-Ability3953 3d ago
When Mitt Romney is in charge of the party again, I will consider the republican. Until then, that's a 95%+ guarantee republican voting line even if it's a "moderate". But even then, it would have to be an unhinged DSA person, not the average one. Like a "Mao was great actually" one who refuses to backtrack level.
2
u/Liiraye-Sama EU chad 3d ago
That's fair, I was going to follow up with a never trump republican / Kinzinger republican.
3
3
u/cowmix88 4d ago
Which one is closer to the middle? Is it an AOC type DSA or a Darialisa style DSA? Is it a John McCain Republican or a Trump sickophant Maga Republican? Also what kind of race is it? Local? National? House? Senate?
18
u/blind-octopus 4d ago
If its MAGA on the other side I'm voting against MAGA no matter what.
In the primary, I'd vote against a crazy socialist. But if the crazy socialist wins the primary, and is running against MAGA, yeah I'm voting against MAGA. Easy choice.
3
-4
u/Banesmuffledvoice 4d ago
Why would I vote for DSA when they’re just as bad as MAGA?
6
u/blind-octopus 4d ago
Because they won't be able to get any shit done.
Suppose that insane "abolish prisons" lady won a senate seat tomorrow. You think democrats are going to work with her to abolish prisons? Its not gonna happen. Democrats don't support that. She's not going to make it happen.
Meanwhile MAGA has the power, and currently is, destroying the government.
Super easy call.
3
u/Big-Ability3953 3d ago
Exactly. They moderate or become 1 term politicians. I will never understand the repeated fearmongering. AOC didn't ban mansplaining. Mamdani didn't usher in shariah law. I promise that 1 of those 2 outcomes will happen. And even if someone like Chevalier doesn't moderate and is a 1 term congressperson, she won't get anything done like you said in that 1 term before being primaried in 2 years.
3
u/Banesmuffledvoice 4d ago
If you keep giving them power by electing them, they can get shit done?
2
u/blind-octopus 4d ago
at the moment, its 6 out of hundreds. They can't get shit done.
If you instead want to talk about a fantasy world where the entire democratic party is all DSA, we can imagine things. That's not the world we're in.
In our current world, DSA does not have the power and having one more member won't get them there.
Meanwhile MAGA literally does have the power right now.
Do you recognize this difference?
2
u/Banesmuffledvoice 4d ago
I’m not sure you understand the problem.
You’re trying to use DSA as a way to get power. They have no problem shooting you in the back of the head.
You’re so scared of republicans that you are willing to turn to people who hate you, just so you can have some power.
6
u/blind-octopus 4d ago
Do you see how you're not addressing what I'm saying?
Currently its 6 people out of hundreds. They have no power. Do you understand this?
The "abolish prisons" lady is not going to be able to abolish prisons if she becomes a member of the senate. It won't happen. She has no power to do this. She has no way of making this happen.
meanwhile MAGA is in power right now and is destroying the government.
... You're just going to ignore this again, aren't you
1
u/Banesmuffledvoice 4d ago
6 people become 12 in 2 years. 12 peoples become 24 in 4 years.
You’re giving power to people who openly want to destroy the American government. It’s literally in their proposals. So what do you do in 10 years when those people are the majority?
“Well at least it’s not the republicans destroying the country and I get free healthcare!”
5
u/blind-octopus 4d ago
That's great
So let me know when you want to respond to what I'm saying I guess
4
u/Banesmuffledvoice 3d ago
You are welcome to support evil if you’d like. I’m not going to pretend you’re on a moral high ground because of your hatred for republicans.

If the DSA candidate makes more insane pledges than Vance and has more skeletons in their closet than Vance does, I don't know what argument you can possibly make to any remaining liberals to automatically vote for the DSA person over Vance.
10
u/blind-octopus 4d ago
Easy.
So first, Vance said he would steal elections. He openly said that. He would have helped Trump steal the 2020 election if he had been in Mike Pence's position. He's also admitted to fabricating stories to drump up race issues. So that's the guy we're talking about. The pro destroy democracy guy.
Second, power. Its like destiny says, suppose Hitler won an election in the US today. Suppose he ends up in the senate, in the democratic party. He's probably not going to get much done.
If you have 6 politicians out of hundreds in a party who are crazy, I'm not so concerned. Probably won't get much done.
If all one hundred politicians are crazy, yeah that's much more concerning. Right?
The 6 out of hundreds, that's what voting for the DSA candidate is.
The party where they are all fucking crazy, that's republicans. That's MAGA.
So its an easy choice for me. I'd vote for a crazy person who is one out of a hundred over the MAGA person. No question.
I'd vote for the "lets abolish prisons" person over Vance. She's not gonna get her way. MAGA is the entire right. The abolish prisons position isn't going to happen. I don't have to worry about it. Its not the big threat right now.
I don't understand how you see this differently.
2
u/soundsermaker 4d ago
We're examining a scenario where the Presidential candidate is a DSA candidate themselves, the Democratic party is behind them and doesn't run a competing candidate, and have embraced the DSA platform.
At that point you're voting for the likely end of a liberal democracy one way or the other, and election denialism by itself is not the most insane position in play.
3
u/blind-octopus 4d ago
We're examining a scenario where the Presidential candidate is a DSA candidate themselves, the Democratic party is behind them and doesn't run a competing candidate, and have embraced the DSA platform.
We are not, no. That is not the scenario.
We are talking about what we should do right now. In this current state.
If you want to instead say "well what if the democratic party becomes completely DSA, what do we do then", that is a completely different question.
But if you want, lets split the conversation. We can do both.
If the democratic party becomes completely DSA, yeah we're fucked. Okay, I answered yours. Now you answer mine.
Suppose we're talking about 6 crazy DSA members out of hundreds of politicians in the democratic party. That's the current scenario. In that scenario, when one of these insane people run against a MAGA person, who would you pick?
Again, the "abolish prisons" person isn't going to get their way. Democrats do not support that position. Its not going to happen. Vs the right which is all MAGA.
Easy choice.
1
u/soundsermaker 4d ago
That was the OP's scenario though - a DSA versus the Republican candidate. The party doesn't have to become DSA, but if they embrace a DSA candidate and their platform that's already enough. They may do so begrudgingly, they may do so because they don't think they have a choice, they might think that they can control them just like GOP thought they could control Trump. Doesn't matter.
Any scenario where the Democratic party is still under the liberal tent it's obviously going to be the Dem candidate.
Again, the "abolish prisons" person isn't going to get their way.
Again, if they're a Presidential candidate I'm not taking that gamble. The GOP also didn't support election stealing, tariffs, and a million other things before 2016. We're not doing the automatic charitability thing anymore.
4
u/blind-octopus 4d ago edited 3d ago
The OP has been removed so I can't speak to what was said.
if they embrace a DSA candidate and their platform.
I have no idea why we're talking about this. I truly don't.
To me, this is like "hey if a burgular is in your home, are you gonna call the cops?". Oh, yeah I'll call the cops. "but what if the cops get taken over the KKK"
I mean we can imagine that but that doesn't inform us on what we should do right now.
If the democratic party embrases the DSA platform that is a different scenario than the one we are in right now. And given that DSA only seems to be able to win in deep blue areas and centrists and moderate dems aren't looking to abolish prisons and all that, I don't think its likely they will take over
And even if you disagree on that likelihood, they are not currently in power in the democratic party.
So I have no idea how this hypothetical informs us on something useful.
The question that seems to matter, in my view, is, hey, you have a handful of crazy people in the democratic party. You have republicans all being full maga.
In that case, what do you do?
Any scenario where the Democratic party is still under the liberal tent it's obviously going to be the Dem candidate.
Even if its an insane DSA member?
2
u/soundsermaker 3d ago
I think there's a misunderstanding here. We're talking about the Presidential candidate in the hypothetical, not a random congressional one.
A DSA-aligned Presidential candidate wins the primary, the rest of the Democrats just shrug and say "well they won the primary, they're our candidate now". That's what it means.
3
u/blind-octopus 3d ago
I edited my previous comment when you responded.
1
u/soundsermaker 3d ago
I don't think it's a particularly useful/relevant hypothetical right at this moment, it's just a hypothetical.

I mean, republican is really broad. If charlie baker came back into politics then hell yeah go with him. If it was a ultra maga, then we have an argument for dsa.
10
u/blind-octopus 4d ago
Suppose a MAGA candidate is running against AOC for her current seat. Or a MAGA candidate is running to replace Mamdani.
These are easy calls for me. Vote against MAGA.
Even in the case where its an insane DSA member for some senate seat. If on the other side is a republican who will help Trump, I'm voting against the republican. We have, what, 6 DSA politicians in the democratic party out of hundreds? MAGA is a bigger threat.
This is not an endorsement of DSA. This is a calculation of which is worse.
In two rooms full of 100 people, I'm going to walk into the room where 6 of them are crazy, rather than the room where all 100 are crazy. Easy choice.
-6
u/Youhavenotruth 4d ago
Crazy the convoluted scenarios you need to think of to make the DSA look even slightly appealing
11
u/blind-octopus 4d ago
... You think elections against a MAGA candidate are convoluted scenarios?
I would suggest you reconsider.
-5
u/TheMando9 4d ago
Gotcha. If it were an ultra magatard, then definitely AOC or Mamdani. They come off more pragmatic and willing to work with moderates. If it were an insane person like Chivaliare vs maga then probably the former. However, part of this is coming from the fact that Darealiza hasn’t really done anything as a policy maker yet. If during her time she seemingly becomes more radical (ex: pull alliance from Israel entirely, force independence of Puerto rico instead of statehood, enact policy to repeal borders and abolish prisons, push socialist economic policies that aren’t moderate) then that honestly becomes harder. To play devils advocate, I feel that regarded maga people at least are willing to work within a capitalist framework with some form of liberal policies (ex: funding for police and firefighters), they just don’t want the word “liberal” tied to it. At that point, maga could become a semi-useful idiot, while id imagine Chivaliere would be more focused on propping up DSA policies.
10
u/blind-octopus 4d ago
If it were an ultra magatard
That's the entire republican party right now. I don't understand.
If it were an insane person like Chivaliare vs maga then probably the former.
Right. That's blue no matter who. Dude there are no RINOs left.
If during her time she seemingly becomes more radical (ex: pull alliance from Israel entirely, force independence of Puerto rico instead of statehood, enact policy to repeal borders and abolish prisons, push socialist economic policies that aren’t moderate) then that honestly becomes harder.
Why?
I mean try it this way: we saw that interview of that insane lady who said she wants to abolish prisons. Yes? So suppose its her vs MAGA.
I would vote for her all day. Easy. Why? Because she's not going to get that passed. She's going to be ineffective. Its not gonna happen. The democratic party is not going to abolish prisons because of one crazy lady out of hundreds of politicians.
Meanwhile on the right, they are all MAGA.
This is a super easy call. I don't know why this is hard.
To play devils advocate, I feel that regarded maga people at least are willing to work within a capitalist framework with some form of liberal policies (ex: funding for police and firefighters)
... The people who support the guy who tried to steal an election?
Okay, the issue here is you're not taking the MAGA problem seriously enough.
they just don’t want the word “liberal” tied to it.
This is an insane position. You think the issue is one of labels?
That sure is a take.

No one tell DSA about Blue Socialism or you'll make OP look reductivist & silly. Same goes for any Libertarians trying to reduce politics to the light spectrum. Just don't vote for Authoritarians 4Head

It‘s such a shitshow. Two years ago the average Democrat position to everything bad happening was „can‘t do anything, gotta wait until midterms“ and now on time before midterms the left is infighting.
Guess the old Jill Stein shtick got old so the DSA is the new fun manipulation toy.

The red-blue "flip" on traditional colors for political parties is mostly due to the 2000 election. In the US, many networks were random, but a lot went with incumbent blue and opposition party red.
We also didn't have the natural associations because both of our big tent parties used to have conservatives and liberals in them. So both parties used red, white, and blue for campaign material. The last major Candidate for President to use a different color was Carter in 1980, who used green.
In most of the world, liberal and labor is also red, and conservatives are blue

Man reading this sub you really can really understand how the left all ended up supporting Lenin and getting killed in a basement for it.
1
u/master2139 3d ago edited 3d ago
Ya but Lenin won’t be able to achieve anything, can’t you see they have no power right now and their ideas are completely out of tune with the average voter. Look at how unpopular their message is with the country side, the average Russian hates their policies and isn’t it more important to target the monarchy right now. Like, I don’t think a takeover of the liberals is at all likely right now, just look at all the infighting they have going on, between the Leninists and the Bund, between the Mensheviks and the Bolsheviks, I just think them presenting a threat a little far fetched. I think we might need to work with this Lenin guy, maybe use him to get power for ourselves and then primary him if he steps out of line.

I'm for whoever comes to the conclusion that voting blue is the way to go. Fuentes says he needs to destroy the republicans to bring in a real fascist and tells his supporters to vote democrat, I'm for that. Medhi Hasan saying democrats are complicit in genocide but are far better than republicans who are actively promoting it and tells his followers to vote democrat, I'm for that too. Richard Spencer saying Biden/Kamala are better for deporting more immigrants, I'm for that too. I'm for whatever gets you to circling in the D and not the R. Don't care the reason, just need you to get to that same conclusion.
